Hey guys, Casey here!

Alright, apparently superhero TV shows are in now, so it's not a surprise that a Jessica Jones story got picked up by Netflix.

If you don't already know, Jessica Jones is a Marvel character first seen in November of 2001. She was involved in a car crash in high school, killing her parents, but granting her superpowers. She possesses superhuman strength, is more resistant to harm than a normal human, and has the ability to fly.

The Netflix series is called AKA Jessica Jones and stars Krysten Ritter as the title character, you probably know her from Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 and Breaking Bad. It's going to be based on the comic Alias where Jessica has retired and has opened her own detective agency.

Here's why this is great, Krysten has familiarized herself with Alias and has shown real interest in the show. I think she is perfectly casted for the role. Netflix knows what shows are becoming and what viewers want. It is known for being very loose and freeing in its production, which I think is a plus. Another reason why this show is going to be great is the rest of the cast. There's David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Patrica Walker and Carrie-Ann Moss as Harper, an original character. Everyone in the show has proven they can make it great, Netflix has shown that it can master good TV and the showrunner, Melissa Rosenberg, can be trusted with handling this. The only way this can be bad is some freak accident, like radioactive waste spilling all over everything.

Alright you guys, I'm out!

So they are actually basing it off Alias? and purple man is in it? This doesn't sound like something disney would ever allow. I mean, I'm turnt for it, but shit get's heavy

@gamecreatorjj

Who says Disney has a say in the matter? Disney owned Miramax who made Pulp Fiction. So Disney being the parent company doesn't mean they have final say.

@gamecreatorjj it is definitely an adaptation of Alias. David Tenant will play Purple Man, and it's definitely going to be dark. In fact the Netflix stuff looks to be going full MAX imprint.

@BrockSamson33 I just assumed that if they were thinking of including them in something like Civil War or Infinity War, they would have some sort of final say.

Let's see how close they follow Alias, as others have mentioned, that is some mature content.

I am not a fan of Ritter, but Marvel casts great talent, so I trust them.

I hope she doesn't get pregnant too fast. I know it's pivotal in her and Luke's growth as characters, but let's leave it for the end of the season; perhaps that is the set up for the Cage series.

I honestly wonder if this and Luke Cage is going to pretty much be Cage/Jones Season 1&2. I am cool with that, imdb has Cage listed for 13 episodes, but I know imdb is not entirely accurate.

Fun read.

@MileHighRonin I'd rather Jessica Jones not show up in Luke Cage's series. Or at least not in this first one. Luke Cage's should focus on his origin story because it has great potential. Same with Iron Fist. Save the crossovers for Defenders and whatever comes after that.

@SnapperCarr I agree Cage's series should focus on his time before his wrongful imprisonment, to his time in prison, then to his return home after his escape.

Iron Fist had better be an origin, Marvel better realize the potential of Iron Fist; I think that is why it is coming last.

The show isn't exactly for me but i'm sure it has an audience and people will watch it. I do like the casting of Purple Man.
