Okay, so right now many of you don't have a great opinion of me. You guys all probably think that I'm some idiot fanboy hypocrite that goes out of his way to take jabs at Marvel movies and their fans. I get it. But, everything happens for a reason, and there was a huge reason for my last article.
"Why The MCU Sucks". Such a simple name. Such a controversial name. I don't blame some of you for reacting like you did when you saw it. But there is a huge factor some of you guys forgot: that people don't wake up hating something. They have reasons.
When I was in high school, my junior year my English teacher gave us a pop quiz with over 100 questions (true story) and told us specifically to read every single question before answering any of them. Me, like everyone else in the class, didn't listen. And as it turns out, the very last question said "Please, turn in this exam blank and you get full credit". Didn't we all feel stupid. He was teaching us that it pays off to read a contract or terms and conditions list before clicking agree. And obviously, it stuck with me. So why do I bring this up? Well on my last editorial, quite a few people commented on it. And very few of you actually decided to read my reasons for why I dislike the MCU. You wanna know how I know that? Because this was in the third paragraph of the editorial:

Can't believe so many people missed it. Especially since so many of you were able to point out all the parts "attacking Marvel" and such. And yet, not one of you were able to point out the two paragraphs spent from questioning whether or not Jesse Eisenberg will have hair in Batman v Superman...yeah that was actually in it. There were people that did read it, and it was very apparent from the comment section as to who read it, and who didn't.
But why the name? Surely I could have writen about anything and still found out the truth?? Wrong. In order to catch attention, I needed people to see the editorial, for it to be noticed, or clickbait if you will. So I went with an extreme. Wrote out two paragraphs to cover the begining. Then made sure to include stuff that would catch the eye: Marvel posters, key words such as "Man of Steel" "Iron Man" "The Dark Knight" and such. All so that people, that I knew wouldn't read, would have something to point at.
Now, I did that article for two reasons: put off studying for my Biology Exam, and to see if what I was thinking about this site was true. Sure enough, both things did in fact happen. And what was I thinking about this site? What was the truth I found out? Well it's simple really:
A majority of people on this site are defensive fanboys that hate everything that doesn't agree with them.
Even if there may be a valid point somewhere in there, they don't care. People here jump to conclusions, and if you think it was specifically for my over-the-top article, think again. Big users, such as Wilding, RorMachine, and DCMarvelFreshman, all use key words in their title's to attract clicks, making you think about one thing. For example: The Joss Whedon/Female Batman Article posted just yesterday. Now, if you read the article, you could see that he was refereing to a female character in the Batman universe getting a movie, not necessarily turning Bruce Wayne into a female. But sure enough, a lot of the comments were people taking it literal that Joss Whedon wanted to make a movie about a female Batman.
Now, how do we fix this problem of people jumping to conclusions about articles based on the title and writer? Well, again, it's simple: READ THE ARTICLE. Do not assume stuff about stuff you do not know. Because, as the saying goes, when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. It is these people that are the real trolls of the site. The people that jump straight to conclusions and start raging before reading.
Okay, I know that there are going to be people like "you only wrote this because you get backlash for your sh*tty articles". Well, people are free to believe what they want of course. People are also free to say that I am a troll. Maybe I am, but if I see an article tomorrow that begins with "DC Comics Suck and Marvel Rules" I would at least read before jumping to the conclusion that they have no point or right to say that.
I hope that these people change. These are the people that other users say are ruining the site. And I couldn't agree more.
