Quarantine really doesn't appear to be agreeing with Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, as he's been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately. In a series of interviews, the comic book writer and artist tore into Disney and Marvel Studios for not prioritising Deadpool 3, despite the fact that former Disney CEO Bob Iger has indicated that we will see the Merc with the Mouth again.
Many fans are convinced that Liefeld is just angry about a call sheet which indicated that he won't be asked to serve as a producer on the film, though he was quick to point out to fans he still gets a pay check whatever happens with the character on screen moving forward.
Now, he's coming under fire for sharing a piece of artwork which shows Deadpool holding a gun in one hand, and a dead Mickey Mouse (who has been shot in the head) in the other.
While Liefeld was initially accused of creating the image himself after it appeared in his Instagram Stories, he quickly took to Twitter to deny this, and even credited someone with sending it to him. It's not a particularly offensive piece of artwork, but it is one many consider to be a step too far.
Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in development at Marvel Studios, but there is no clear timeline for when it will happen. Given recent comments, don't count of Liefeld being involved.
