With Deadpool & Wolverine continues smashing box office records, adidas has unveiled an exclusive collection to celebrate the latest Marvel Studios movie.
Now available - more details can be found on the adidas app, online, in stores and selected retailers - the collection includes adidas Originals and performance footwear and apparel featured in and inspired by the film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
This is the first Deadpool-inspired adidas collection featuring a combination of adidas Originals and performance products which consists of two themed Rivalry Low shoes, an adizero Electric cleat, graphic tees and an adidas Forum Low silhouette worn in the film.
The collection embodies unmistakable colour blocking and distinct detailing of Deadpool and Wolverine's iconic characters, including tongue-in-cheek jokes on sock liners, censored language characters, and storage pouches on the Deadpool-inspired Rivalry Low and adizero Electric cleat—nodding to the seemingly excessive amount of pouches the Merc with a Mouth keeps on his costume.
The Wolverine-inspired Rivalry Low includes colour blocking as a homage to Logan's classic blue and yellow suit.
The newly unveiled "Kidpool" Forum Low sneakers include the character's circular logo on one side and a large "Kidpool" graphic on the other with a synthetic, textile-lined upper that has laces and hook-and-loop straps for a customizable fit. The rubber outsole provides traction so you can move with the agility of your favourite character from the Marvel Universe.
Why We Love Them...
We've been fortunate enough to get hands-on with a pair of the new Deadpool sneakers and trust us when we say these things are f***ing awesome!
A real statement piece with or without the pouches (yes, they're removable), the subtle logo on the back and red blood splatter on the midsole make for a pitch-perfect homage to Wade Wilson. However, it's the striking red colour which makes these really stand out.
We also have to give adidas props on the design because if you're a fan who wants to keep their love of Deadpool on the down low, then it's really only on closer inspection that the Merc with the Mouth shines through. However, if you're eager to show off your fandom, it's fair to say no one will miss these sneakers which are bound to become a collector's item in no time at all.
Crucially, as part of the Marvel x adidas Rivalry Low range, these sneakers are super comfortable and an absolute must-have for any MCU fan who wants or needs a little more Deadpool in their lives...
