It's been a while since we had any solid updates on Marvel Studios' plans for Deadpool 3, but if star Ryan Reynolds is to be believed, we won't have to wait too much longer for some kind of official announcement.
While chatting to Collider about his latest Netflix movie, The Adam Project, Reynolds was asked about the threequel and whether he and director Shawn Levy have ever discussed collaborating on the movie.
“We pretty much talk about everything," said the actor. "But I'll say this about that particular subject: I'll have a batch of updates on that sooner rather than later, I hope. So I'll be able to get into stuff about Deadpool a little bit more clearly and definitively down the road.”
Could Levy end up helming the project? It sounds like an idea that may have been tossed around, and the pair have already struck gold together with Free Guy. Either way, it's good to hear that some more details on the film should be coming our way shortly.
Right now, all we really know about Deadpool 3 is that it will be rated R, and Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin are currently working on the script. There are rumors that the Merc With a Mouth could show up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but Reynolds recently denied any involvement.
