VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Gets Two Awesome New Posters Following Recent Release Date Delay

Venom: Let There Be Carnage was recently pushed back to October 15, but Sony Pictures has dropped a couple of amazing posters for the Marvel Comics adaptation that will make that delay easier to forgive...

With the Delta variant of COVID-19 clearly having an impact on box office takings, it's no great surprise that Sony Pictures recently pushed Venom: Let There Be Carnage down the release calendar.

We're not sure what difference a few weeks will make, but assuming people continue to get vaccinated, it's entirely possible it will be nothing but beneficial to the Venom sequel. Time will tell on that front, of course, but two new posters have been released today that serve as a nice distraction!

The first is very much like a comic book cover come to life, with Venom's face on one side and Carnage's on the other. It's reminiscent of the poster for the first movie, albeit with Carnage's terrifying visage in place of Eddie Brock's. The second, meanwhile, pits the two symbiotes against each other in what promises to be a fight of truly epic proportions on the big screen.

Say what you will about 2018's Venom, but after looking at imagery like this, it's difficult not to be excited about seeing these two come to blows, especially if you're a comic book fan.

In Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector, Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters. The movie also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be released on September 24 October 15.
