This is basically the same as the movie following the same path it took, but changing at certain valley ways.
I'll have a more indepth screen play of how this could go but for now its just the rough outline and the cast
The movie will open up with Joker beating Robin of course,
proceed with ending credits until we're at the gang meeting Red Hood calls and basicly alerts the boss' they're his bitches.
There will be a scene to reintroduce Batman and Nightwing at the docks, only instead of Amazo, they'll be fighting BANE. Black Mask will have hired Bane to over see the transaction of getting the V.E.N.O.M. out of state, and is about to kill the men that Red Hood had gotten to try to destroy the shipment and run, batman and Nightwing arrive in time to prevent Masks' men and Bane from ending them.
After Bane's defeated, and batman and Nightwing interrogate the remaing perps with consciousness, Red Hood snipes them before revealing to much like in the movie and books it, to which batman chases him Batmobile vs. Drag racing car, all the way to the plant where Batman first met the first Red Hood/Joker and has due flash backs of such, before Red Hood appears again and comments how this was the night of Batman's first grave mistake, but certainly not his last, then shoots his crashed car next to one of the tanks making it explode, and in turn the factor.
Have batman talk about the incedent with Nightwing, and let their be an indication that Barbara is no longer Batgirl and is with Nightwing like "How's barbara?"
Nightwing:"Misses wearing the costume, but cant wait for the baby."
Or some hint to how she is oracle now by cameo.
He tells Nightwing to stay with alfred and see whatelse they can find while he goes to Arkham to ask the aged joker if he's involved or knows anything about this new red hood cause he was the first.
Have joker reply how he's a poser, uninspiring, and to damn modist to have anything to do with him, he'd want to MAKE sure batman knew it was him.
After some banter Joker asks how the kids are? Batman of course doesnt answer and Joker states the irony how as many disfunctional kids as he puts on his "Bat-force" they keep getting ***cked up, and how much he enjoys to be the one to do it....like when he popped a cap in bat girls..-
-Flash back of Joker shooting Batgirl paralizing her(babara)- and batman is tempted to strike him.
Joker goes on to talk about Robin 2.0, the one who had a striking resemblance to a hocky puck, at least to him...
and then gets shoved into a wall by Batman and Joker asks if he's actually going to do i this time, or just let this circle continue being endless...either way is fun or him.
Batman stops and drops him, Joker cracks up and he leaves.
Keep the story going according to the plot of the cartoon movie introducing Black Mask with the new intern who comes in to see him ranting about his shipment of Venom Steroids that Batman foiled, then telling the intern "You keep staring at me......I'm gonna cut your eyes out........-PUNCH- now give me the status reports.."
He tries another shipment by chopper that Red Hood foils, and Batman foils with Nightwing, to which there is another high paced chase scene across the roofs of Gotham, but have it where Red Hood is free running like the chase scene in the begining of Casino Royal 007.
Keep the line of Red Hood saying "Still haven't lost your touch Bru-" and get cut off by a passing subway train
Only to have it revealed later on that he said "Still haven't lost your touch Bruce." by batman's audio filter system on the batcomputer.
Then he'll have the due flash backs of him and Jason Todd taking down criminals at a young age, (perhaps scarecrow robbing a bank), then the transition in the flash backs of him growing more wild and headstrong and dangerous as he grows older, and more ruthless. Maybe a line of where Jason Todd in his younger years also was asking batman how he was able to take what an evil man taught him, and use it for good, how did he not cross the line like he has trouble doing?
Then after Batman is through with the flash backs, we go to Black Mask talking about how he wants him dead, "Dead, GONE, ripped APART, his head mounted on my ***ing wall kind of dead! Time he learned this is a contact sport, when he shows up to shut us down, I want there to be an effing party waiting for him and when I say party, I mean a WHOLE ***k load of peole who are there to ***king kill him!!"
(loved that line)
Anyway, when Red Hood takes the obvious bate for a trap, he's accostnot by the fearsom 4, or Mr. Freeze -_-, but Ninja assassin's who turn out to be from the Society of Shadows, lead by Talia, who are there to put him down no charge.
Batman shows up to get in the middle of it and helps him fight them off back to back. Batman asks talia mid fight what she's doing, he knows she doesnt kill for cheap assinating jobs, and this has to be something big for her father to send let alone ALLOW her to head this up. She says there are things to painful for him to understand and for once to let this one stay unsolved.
Now that batman's arrived and fighting along side him Red Hood shows he was holding back before an begins mercilessly messing up the ninja's, and kills 3, about to make Talia his 4th by impaling her on her own Katana, which Batman prevents.
He stops Red Hood giving Talia and the remaining ninja enough time to "dissapear" and then he and Red Hood havee thier talk about how Red hoods cleaning up Gotham better then Batman ever did, how you cant stop crime, only control it, how he's doing what he wont, that he's taking them out, how batman only governs by fear, but what about those psycho's out there who aren't afraid.
After Red Hood leaves, batman Takes the Katana that Talia purposfully left with Red Hood's blood on it.
We go back to Black Masks building of work office, and the dialogue leading to black Mask talking about "Can't you smell it....we're caught in the damn crossfires...."
Cue Red Hood on the building opposite Black Masks office with the bazzuka and make the "Damn...he sure can move when he wants to..." Line, -Ka-BOOM-
Black Mask escapes with his life, but JUST that.
Batman and alfred redig up Jasons grave and finds the replica and batman goes on about being stupid and careless and going to talk to the man that did this, meaning Rhas Al Gul.
Red Hood has a fight with Dick Grayson at his home with Oracle/Barbara there, that ends with him stabbing Dick with a needle that has poison only he has the antidote to, having both of them at Gun point and him saying "THIS is what your going to do..."
Batman successfully breaks into Rhas' home saying "Talia dropped this..." (Talia's Katana).
Rhas has his discussion with Batman explaining how he had hired Joker which was a big mistake to distract batman, leading to him killing his son, his partner, Jason Todd. And how he hoped to rectify it by replacing the bodies and wanting to test the theory that the lazirus pit could resurect and not just give long life. They dunk Jason in, it has no affect, they are told to take the body to be laid to rest properly. On the way out, he DOES come back to life and kills the guards carrying him, and escapes....crazed.
(I know that this isn't like the comic but face it, Superboys' stupid reality punch or whatever is just BS, theres no way to convay that sensibly in a movie.)
Batman on the trip back talks to alfred over the com about how this IS or isn't his fault.
Alfred:"You loved hiim, he knkows that and it should be enough."
Batman:"Well its not alfred....it never was....he and me both knew that...."
Aflred asks what the boy will most likely do next, and he says "He's saved the best kill for last...Someone, will have to pay for what happened that night"
Alfred:"-sighs- You sir?"
Batman:"No.....not me..."
We cut to where Red Hood using Oracles tech help from the lap top in her car, Red Hood and Nightwing Break Joker out of Arkham, afterwards Red Hood knocks Dick Out and leaves him and Oracle to fend for themselves on the curb.
She rushes Robin to the Wayne Mannor as fast as she can for Alfred to help save his life.
Batman arrives and hears from Dick and Barbara that Red Hoods message was to meet him in crime alley to finish this.
Batman does so, and they have their epic fight like in the comics, right down to the unmasking of Jason Todd as the Red Hood.
The fight ends with them ending up finally in the appartment that he has Joker tied up in, then they have the gloriously dialogued scene of Jason asking why batman wouldn't kill Joker, because he took him from him.
Only the ultimatum wont be "Shoot me or i'll shoot joker." It will be something more like, "If you dont shoot Joker I will shoot myself." Or have Dick there also a hostage and him saying if he doesn't kill Joker, he'll shoot Dick, he's losing either one of his sons, or the man who killed this first one.
"someone will have to pay for what happened that night."
Batman finds a awesome way out and it ends like the cartoon and comic do with Joker being in a body cast but alive, and Dick Grayson going home safe and alive to Barb, and there being no trace of Jasons body.
End Batman remarking to alfred how nothings changed.... and then a flash back where young Jason says "this is the best day of my life." like in the cartoon movie.
For Older Batman I choose Clive Owen
For Jason Todd alias the Red Hood, I choose Milo Ventimiglia...
For Dick Grayson/ alias the Nightwing- I chose Garrett Hedlund
For Alfred Pennyworth- Bernie Kopell (i've seen him play an english butler, he can do it, dont shout him down just cause he was in the love boat, he can do a kick ass alfred)
For the Barbara Gordon/Oracle/Batgirl cameo- Nikki Reed
For Commisioner Gordon- Ted Levine from Shutter Island (For those who haven't seen his work, he can definatly pull of an older James Gordon if you slap some glasses on him and put some of that gotham fog behind him, his vioce is always what I'd imagined Gordon's was in the comics.)
For the crazed and more aged Joker, I chose Willam Dafoe- perfect for beating the crap out of a teenaged kid with a crow bar.
For Roman Sionis- Alias the Black Mask I choose Michael Wincott (if you've heard his voice, you'll know he's a shoe in for the part, especially for an older Black Mask. Come on you wont see his face, just that voice eminating from that mask.
For Bane, who will have few lines and lots of BANE SMASH scenes for his small part in the movies begining
I choose Dalip Singh from Get Smart
And his Voice over so we know that he's an inteligent inforcer, Joaquim De Almeida (the voice of Bane from THE BATMAN cartoon on WB
For Rhas Al Gul I choose Sergio Castellitto
And for his lovely daughter talia, I chose Marasol Nichols
