FAN CAST: THE PUNISHER MARVEL STUDIOS MOVIE By LEEE777
I thought star studded cast is needed for the revamp, get as many butts on seats and make a movie masterpiece, plenty of crime bosses, pure grit, no supervillains and just a gritty crime action drama on the big screen!
The Punisher was conceived of by Gerry Conway, writer of The Amazing Spider-Man, who helped design the character's distinctive costume: “In the '70s, when I was writing comics at DC and Marvel, I made it a practice to sketch my own ideas for the costumes of new characters — heroes and villains — which I offered to the artists as a crude suggestion representing the image I had in mind. I had done that with the Punisher at Marvel.”
Conway had drawn a character with a small death's head skull on one breast. Marvel art director John Romita, Sr. took the basic design, blew the skull up to huge size, taking up most of the character's chest, and added a cartridge bandolier that formed the skull's teeth. Amazing Spider-Man penciller Ross Andru was the first artist to draw the character for publication.
Appearing for the first time in The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (February 1974), the Punisher was initially an antagonist of the titular hero. He was a bloodthirsty vigilante who had no qualms about killing gangsters, something that most superheroes of the time refrained from doing. J. Jonah Jameson described him as "the most newsworthy thing to happen to New York since Boss Tweed". In this appearance the Punisher was determined to kill Spider-Man, who was wanted for the apparent murder of Norman Osborn. This version of the Punisher was shown as an athletic fighter, a master marksman and an able strategist. All he would reveal about himself was that he was a former U.S. Marine. He had a fierce temper but also showed signs of considerable frustration over his self-appointed role of killer vigilante. In particular, he was engaged in extensive soul-searching as to what was the right thing to do: although he had few qualms about killing he was outraged when his then-associate, the Jackal, apparently killed Spider-Man by treacherous means rather than in honorable combat. Spider-Man, who was himself no stranger to such torment, concluded that the Punisher's problems made his own seem like a "birthday party".
The character was a hit with readers and started to appear on a regular basis, teaming up with both Spider-Man and other heroes such as Captain America and Nightcrawler throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. During his acclaimed run on Daredevil, writer and artist Frank Miller made use of the character, contrasting his attitudes and version of vigilante action to that of the more liberal Man Without Fear.
So lets get on with it and many thanks to Wikipedia for the info...
Thomas Jane as The Punisher (Frank Castle):
Punisher is the recipient of multi-disciplinary military training from the U.S. Marine Corps. While a Marine, he also received training from the U.S. Army and Navy as well as cross-training from the British SAS. In addition, since beginning his work as the Punisher, Castle has used his military discipline and training techniques to update and expand his skills in areas that aid in his mission (disguise, acting, use of non-military weapons, etc.). From this training, Punisher is proficient in not only basic infantry skills, but in special operations, which includes the use and maintenance of specialized firearms and explosive ordnance. He is highly trained in infiltration into heavily-guarded enemy territories and structures for the purpose of assassination, capture, and military intelligence. Also, he is trained in various forms of camouflage and stealth.
He maintains multiple safehouses and vehicles around the greater Manhattan area as well as multiple forged identities and bank accounts (most of the funds and equipment aiding him in his work being taken from the criminals he hunts).
The Punisher has a Kevlar uniform which protects him from most gunfire, though he can still suffer concussive injury or penetration from sufficient or repeated impacts.
Tom Jane has always been my favorite, and I really love the first Punisher movie through the flaws, it still out classed Warzone on many levels and besides Ray's in Thor now so Tom is my main pick as Frank and forever will be. Recent movies check out 'The Mist' this guys still got it and what it takes, it would be a total crime if he doesn't continue the Punisher Legacy again....saying that, if Marvel Studios are dead set getting a total new Frank, check my picks at the very end and vote for any three of my favorites and who I believe all have it in them to be the very best and be The Punisher!
Like I said I believe no tights in the first of a new franchise of 'The Punisher,' so here are the actors I think would be amazing in this first cinema piece:
Robert De Niro:
De Niro's first film role in collaboration with Brian De Palma was in 1963 at the age of 20, when he appeared in The Wedding Party; however, the film was not released until 1969. He gained popular attention with his role as a dying Major League baseball player in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973). The same year, he began his fruitful collaboration with Scorsese when he played a memorable role as the smalltime hood "Johnny Boy" alongside Harvey Keitel's "Charlie" in Mean Streets (1973). In 1974, De Niro played a pivotal role in Francis Coppola's The Godfather, Part II, playing young Don Vito Corleone, having previously auditioned for the roles of Sonny Corleone, Michael Corleone, Carlo Rizzi and Paulie Gatto in The Godfather. His performance earned him his first Academy Award, for Best Supporting Actor, although Coppola accepted the award, as De Niro was not present at the Oscar ceremony. He became the first actor to win an Academy Award speaking mainly a foreign language, in this case, multiple Sicilian dialects (although he delivered a few lines in English). De Niro and Marlon Brando, who played the older Vito Corleone in the first film, are the only actors to have won Oscars portraying the same fictional character.
After working with Scorsese in Mean Streets, he had a very successful working relationship with the director in films such as Taxi Driver (1976), New York, New York (1977), Raging Bull (1980), The King of Comedy (1983), Goodfellas (1990), Cape Fear (1991), and Casino (1995). They also acted together in Guilty by Suspicion and provided their voices for the animated feature Shark Tale.
Taxi Driver is particularly important to De Niro's career; his iconic performance as Travis Bickle shot him to stardom and forever linked De Niro's name with Bickle's famous "You talkin' to me?" monologue, which De Niro largely improvised.
De Niro is beyond a quality actor, winning two Academy Awards: Best Actor for his role in Raging Bull, and Best Supporting Actor for The Godfather, Part II. He would be star studded power for this Marvel flick and would bring true quality to The Punisher!
Al Pachino:
In 1973, he co-starred in Scarecrow, with Gene Hackman, and won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. That same year, Pacino starred in Serpico, based on the true story of New York City policeman Frank Serpico, who went undercover to expose the corruption of fellow officers. In 1974, Pacino reprised his role as Michael Corleone in the sequel The Godfather Part II, acclaimed as being comparable to the original. The film became the first sequel to win the Best Picture Oscar, and Pacino was nominated for his third Oscar. Newsweek magazine declared that his performance in the film "is arguably cinema's greatest portrayal of the hardening of a heart". In 1975, he enjoyed further success with the release of Dog Day Afternoon, based on the true story of bank robber John Wojtowicz. It was directed by Sidney Lumet, who also directed him in Serpico a few years earlier, and for both films Pacino was nominated for Best Actor.
In 1977, Pacino starred as a race-car driver in Bobby Deerfield, directed by Sydney Pollack, and received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture Actor – Drama for his portrayal of the title role, losing out to Richard Burton, who won for Equus. His next film was the dark drama ...And Justice for All, which again saw Pacino lauded by critics for his wide range of acting abilities, and nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for a fourth time. However he lost out that year to Dustin Hoffman in Kramer vs. Kramer— a role that Pacino had declined.
During the 1970s, Pacino had four Oscar nominations for Best Actor, for his performances in Serpico, The Godfather Part II, Dog Day Afternoon, and ...And Justice for All.
Pacino's career slumped in the early 1980s;, his appearances in the controversial Cruising, a film which provoked protests from New York's gay community, and the comedy-drama Author! Author! were critically panned. However, 1983's Scarface, directed by Brian DePalma, proved to be a career highlight and a defining role. Upon its initial release, the film was critically panned, but did well at the box office, grossing over US$45 million domestically. Pacino earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Cuban drug lord Tony Montana.
'Scarface' is one of my all time favorite movies of all time, when I first saw it I thought YES this is how a Punisher movie should be on screen, story, action, drama, and no holds barred in your face violence. I know they tried to do a Scarface wannabe with Jigsaw in 'Warzone' but they totally failed miserably and yes I would love Al to play Jigsaw, but I doubt he would so a crime boss seems just perfect for this actor and its not like he hasn't played that type of character on screen before and totally owned the movie!
Christopher Walken:
Walken's first film of the 1980s was the controversial Heaven's Gate, helmed by Deer Hunter director Cimino. Walken also starred in the 1981 action adventure The Dogs of War, directed by John Irvin. In 1982, he played a socially awkward, but gifted theater actor in "Who Am I This Time?" He surprised many critics and filmgoers with his intricate tap-dancing striptease in Herbert Ross's musical Pennies From Heaven. Walken then played schoolteacher-turned-psychic Johnny Smith in David Cronenberg's 1983 adaptation of Stephen King's The Dead Zone. That same year, Walken also starred in Brainstorm alongside Natalie Wood and (in a minor role) his wife, Georgianne.
In 1985, Walken played a James Bond villain, Max Zorin, in A View to a Kill. Walken dyed his hair blond to befit Zorin's origins as a Nazi experiment. Walken played the role of Federal Agent Kyril Montana in Milagro Beanfield War in 1988. He also played the leading role of Whitley Strieber in 1989's Communion, an autobiographical film written by Strieber that was based on his claims that he and his family were subject to alien abductions.
At Close Range starred Walken as Brad Whitewood, a rural Pennsylvania crime boss who tries to bring his two sons into his empire, his character mostly based on Bruce Johnston.
Walken's other blow away movie roles are 'True Romance,' 'The Prophecy,' 'Sleepy Hollow' among'st others, fine actor, and would make an awesome crime boss again'st Franks one man war again'st crime!
James Caan:
Caan began his acting career in television on such series as The Untouchables, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Kraft Suspense Theatre, Combat!, Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare, The Wide Country, Alcoa Premiere, Route 66, and Naked City. In 1964, he starred as Jewish athlete Jeff Brubaker in the episode "My Son, the All-American" of Channing, a drama about college life.
His first substantial film role was as a punk hoodlum in the 1964 thriller Lady in a Cage, which starred Olivia de Havilland. In 1965 he landed his first starring role in Howard Hawks' auto-racing drama Red Line 7000. In 1967, Caan appeared as Alan Badillion Trahern aka Mississippi in El Dorado with John Wayne and Robert Mitchum.Commonly believed to be Caan's idea, In an episode of "Las Vegas" Caan's character of "Ed Deline" used a passport to make a covert trip to the middle east, it revealed the name "A. Trahern". He had a starring role in Robert Altman's second feature film, Countdown, in 1968. In 1969, his appearance on the spy sitcom Get Smart was uncredited, billed as "Rupert of Rathskeller as Himself"; in that same year he won praise for his role as a brain-damaged football player in The Rain People (1969) directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
I liked him in 'Eraser,' 'Alien Nation' and the original 'Rollerball' myself, amazing actor and would own as another crime boss, just picture the movie poster, would be beyond big!
Viggo Mortensen:
After several years of experience in live theater, Mortensen made his first film appearance playing an Amish farmer in Peter Weir's Witness (Mortensen had actually acted in two prior films, Swing Shift[citation needed] and The Purple Rose of Cairo, but his scenes in both of these films were deleted from the final cuts). Also in 1985, he was cast in the role of Bragg on Search for Tomorrow. Mortensen's 1987 performance in Bent at the Coast Playhouse, Los Angeles, won him a Dramalogue Critics' Award. Coincidentally, the play, about homosexual concentration camp prisoners, was originally brought to prominence by Ian McKellen, with whom Mortensen later costarred in The Lord of the Rings. In 1987 Mortensen guest starred as a corrupt police detective on the hit series Miami Vice.
My personal favorite is in 2005, Mortensen starred in David Cronenberg's A 'History of Violence.' He was nominated for a Satellite Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for this role. In the DVD extras for A History of Violence, David Cronenberg relates that Mortensen is the only actor he'd come across who would come back from weekends with his family with items he had bought to use as props on the set. One of the best comic book movies ever made, if you have not watched it yet, what are you waiting for, buy it or rent it, you are missing out!
Another class movie of his is 'The Road,' anyways who wouldn't wanna see Viggo up again'st The Punisher? Come on!!!
Right, Microchip next, Franks best buddy and partner, he totally got ruined and wasted in 'Warzone' by the way...
Bobcat Goldthwait as Microchip:
Linus "Microchip" Leiberman was a legendary computer hacker in the early days of the hacking business, performing numerous scams and hacks still held in awe today, until one scam brought him too close to real-world criminals forcing him to go into "retirement" as a quiet unassuming businessman. This ended when his nephew, attempting to follow in his favorite uncle's footsteps, was caught and killed after accidentally hacking into the private computers of Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime. While personally investigating his nephew's murder, Leiberman met The Punisher and the two began working together. Microchip's help proved invaluable to Castle working not just as a hacker and cyber-investigator but also helping Castle manage and launder his finances (taken from the criminals he terminated), set up and equip safehouses, train in more "specialized" skills useful for his war on crime, and obtain harder-to-get ammunition and equipment. Less obsessed with the war, Microchip also acted as a defacto counseler to Castle, encouraging him to take occasional vacations and breaks so as not to get burned out or crazed.
Robert Francis "Bobcat" Goldthwait is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and film and television director. He is commonly known for his energetic, rabid stage personality, his dark, acerbic black comedy. He's a great actor and can see him owning the role of Microchip and actually do the role justice and not being killed off in his first screen outing that previously happened. I believe Bobcat would be the perfect partner to Thomas Jane and have great chemistry on screen, yes he don't act that much in front of the cameras these days, more behind it, but I think he'd kill for a part in this line up!
Steve Buscemi as Mr. Badwrench:
Mr. Badwrench had his right hand replaced with an actual wrench that was connected to his muscles and nerve endings to enable him to use it like a normal limb. Badwrench was very innovative an was a specialist in customizing any vehicle with weapons an armor. He's special taxis include taxis with rocket launchers, flamethrowers etc and is obsessed with keeping everything clean.
Steve is a great actor and eats up the screen whoever he plays from big to small this guy can act his ass off, been in stuff like 'Reservoir Dogs' as Mr Pink to small screen in 'The Sopranos' as Tony Soprano's cousin and childhood friend to epic serial killer Garland Greene in 'Con Air,' and how can we forget him in comic book movie 'Ghostworld.' Yup Buscemi has proved time and time again what an amazing actor he is, would be a unbelievable Mister Badwrench!
Okay it wouldn't be a Punisher film without an informer and I choose...
Adam Garciaas The Informer (Chad Redford Jr):
Adam Garcia has been nominated for multiple awards during his acting career. His transition into a film actor began in 1997, when he played Jones in Wilde, a movie about the life of writer Oscar Wilde. Despite the fact that he has starred in such movies as Coyote Ugly and others, it was not until 2004, when he played rock star Stu Wolf in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, that he gained mainstream fame as an actor.
Can see this guy in a Punisher movie, getting the job done an getting all the dirt on organised crime for ol' Franky boy, guy can act his balls off too!
Now the next lot of characters can if you wish be in the movie or potential sequels:
Vincent Cassel as Batroc:
Georges Batroc was born in Marseille, France, and served in the French Foreign Legion. He is a French costumed mercenary who specializes in savate (also known as "La Boxe Française"), a form of kickboxing. Although he has primarily appeared in the pages of Captain America, he has also faced off against the Punisher, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, and Gambit. Batroc has occasionally led his own team, "Batroc's Brigade", whose membership has changed over time. The group has primarily fought Captain America.
He has functioned as a member of Baron Zemo's Masters of Evil (one of the stronger recurring villain teams that plague the heroes of Avengers).
In Batroc's first appearance, he was hired by THEM to steal the Inferno-42 cylinder. He first battled Captain America during this mission. He was again hired by HYDRA and abducted Sharon Carter for them. He lured Captain America into a rematch, and again lost, he has come across Punisher many of times.
Birth name; Vincent Crochon, Cassel is a fantastic actor and born in Paris France is perfect for Batroc. He done many movies, French too, you may know him from stuff like "Ocean's Thirteen" etc, but my personal favorite is the French comic book movie he's done called "Blueberry." Right now he's in the movie called "black Swan" that is currently filming, and damn this guy can act, he'd so bring Batroc to life its not even funny, he was born for the role.
Jet Li as Bengal:
Duc No Tranh was a boy growing up in a Vietnamese village during the Vietnam War. During the war, American soldiers, including Red Wolf, Willie Lincoln, and the future Reverend Michael Janes, massacre his village and parents. The boy tries to climb aboard the Americans' helicopter, but was kicked off by Private Janes, despite the pleas of other soldiers on board.
Years later, the boy became the costumed Bengal and travels to America for revenge on the soldiers involved in the destruction of his village. Willie Lincoln seeks Daredevil's protection. The costumed hero defeats Bengal.
Bengal is a martial arts master and an exceptional athlete. He is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, trained in various martial arts, and an excellent acrobat, skilled archer and tracker. He typically fights with bow and arrows, or shuriken. His favorite weapons are paired sai-like weapons with blades that collapse or expand at the press of a button. He has an unusually well defined sense of smell and can track people by scent; it has not been revealed if this is actually a superhuman ability.
Li Lian Jie, better known by his stage name Jet Li, is a Chinese martial artist, actor, film producer, wushu champion, and international film star who was born in Beijing, China, and who has currently taken up Singapore citizenship.
After three years of intensive training with Wu Bin, Li won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team. After retiring from wushu at age 17, he went on to win great acclaim in China as an actor making his debut with the film Shaolin Temple (1982). He went on to star in many critically acclaimed martial arts epic films, most notably the Once Upon A Time In China series, in which he portrayed folk hero Wong Fei-hung.
Jet Li's played a superhero before, Black Mask, cool martial arts superhero movie and I loved him in such films as 'Lethal Weapon 4' & 'The One' to name just a few, he's an awesome martial artist and thats what we need for the villain Bengal, just think he's near perfect for this Marvel role and would own and destroy (in a good way) every second of him as this character on screen!
Aaron Eckhart as Bushwacker:
Originally a priest, Carl Burbank abandoned his vows following the drug-related deaths of young parishioners. He joined the C.I.A., which outfitted him with a cybernetic arm and made him an assassin under the codename "Bushwacker", but ultimately he became a freelancer.
At some point, an event took place that compelled Bushwacker to begin a war against all mutants. Bushwacker began hunting and assassinating mutants, most often those mutants whose abilities Bushwacker perceived as making them especially talented in "the arts". Bushwacker also claimed that he was paid large sums of money to kill mutants, but this has yet to be verified. Burbank's killing spree brought him into conflict with both Wolverine and Daredevil. Wolverine learned of Bushwacker's activities and began to hunt the killer himself. At the same time, Bushwacker's wife Marilyn believed her husband was insane and needed to be placed in a hospital. She sought aid from lawyer Matt Murdock (secretly the hero Daredevil). Daredevil found Wolverine fighting Bushwacker, and he would have killed him if Daredevil hadn’t stopped him. Unfortunately, this allowed Bushwacker to escape and continue his rampage. Bushwacker was ultimately tracked down and defeated by the two heroes, which left the right side of his face horribly scarred, and he was placed in police custody.
Bushwacker's right arm has been altered bionically so that it can function as a gun. He can fire bullets from his index finger as if his hand were a pistol. Using his left hand he can alter the configuration of his right arm, allowing it to function in several modes which replicate the effects of a number of weapons, including a machine gun and a shotgun. He employs powerful gadgets and weapons, most notably a flamethrower, all of which can be created by the mechanical prostheses that have replaced his forearms. He manages to load the weapons by swallowing ammo, such as bullets or flamethrower fuel. Bushwacker's skin can liquefy to seal wounds. There are some versions that take this a step further, having Bushwacker be able to use highly concussive energy weaponry (very similar to that of Iron Man or War Machine), and even be able to morph his arm into blades as a last resort.
Come on I could have used a WWE/WWF actor but that would have been just wrong....I think Aaron would be more than enough to pull this character off, oh yes, he actually is pretty buff too before you ask, seriously, who wouldn't want him as Bushwacker? We all know his acting ability, spot on!
James Remar as Jigsaw:
Billy Russo was a professional criminal and brutal assassin for the Maggia crime family, nicknamed "the Beaut" because of his good looks. He was also a favorite assassin for the Costa crime family. After the execution-style killings that inadvertently led to the deaths of Frank Castle's family, Russo was hired by Bruno Costa to assassinate another assassin who had failed to kill Frank Castle as well. Russo kills all of his targets but Castle, who narrowly avoids death in an explosion. Hours later, Castle returns and tracks down Russo to one of the Maggia's nightclubs. Several criminals were killed, and Russo was thrown through a glass pane head-first. He survives with his face torn to shreds; because of the extent of the facial damage, surgeons stitch it back together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Taking advantage of his now hideous visage, the formerly handsome gangster took on the identity of Jigsaw, and initially attempts to frame the Punisher for murder.
James Remar has always reminded me as a good if not an amazing Jigsaw, I don't know what it is about him, but that voice with Jigsaw's messed up face gives me chills, disagree tell me.
Dolph Lundgren as The Russian:
The man known as the Russian was hired by the crime boss Ma Gnucci to eliminate the Punisher. He located him while the Punisher was moving out of his latest safe house, still recovering from severe wounds suffered in a previous battle with the Gnucci army. Almost unarmed and weak, Frank Castle is beaten severely by the Russian, who took the chance to enlighten Frank about his views on capitalism and American comic heroes and enjoyed the exercise immensely. During the course of the fight, though, the Punisher learns that the hired killer has a serious aversion towards hot things. When the fight ends up in the apartment of Frank's obese friend, Mr. Bumpo, the Russian is stunned when Frank hits him with Bumpo's fresh pizza. Frank then has Bumpo lay on the Russian's head for many minutes. The Russian's severed head is later used as an intimidation tactic against the remnants of Ma Gnucci's army.
The Russian appeared in 2004's The Punisher portrayed by professional wrestler Kevin Nash and had no dialogue other than growls and snarls and was completely wasted, much like Hollywood does. Come on I saw Dolph in 'Expendables' and it was a no brainer... he is so perfect for The Russian its unbelievable, he needs to be The Russian and yes I know he played Frank Castle lol, touch! ; )
Nathan Jones as Bruno:
REAL NAME: Bruno Costa. PLACE OF BIRTH: Unknown. GROUP AFFILIATION: Minion of Oliver. BASE OF OPERATIONS: New York City. GRUDGES: The Punisher.
Nathan Jones is a wrester slash actor lol, but I loved his little bit on 'Troy' as Boagrius. he is a hard ass and would be [frick]ing amazing as playing a small part in a Punisher film as Bruno!
Okay, this is a long shot as Sony has him, but you never know what the future holds anyway =
R Lee Ermey as J Jonah Jameson:
John Jonah Jameson is a supporting character of Spider-Man and has appeared in many other Marvel comic books too.
Jameson is usually the publisher or editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle, a fictional New York newspaper and now serves as the mayor of New York City. Recognizable by his mustache, flattop haircut, and ever-present cigar, he carries out a smear campaign against Spider-Man that has turned much of the city against the hero. He employs Peter Parker, who unbeknownst to him is Spider-Man's alter ego, as a photojournalist.
Portrayals of Jameson have varied throughout the years. Sometimes he is shown as a foolishly stubborn and pompous skinflint who micromanages his employees and resents Spider-Man out of jealousy. Other writers have portrayed him more humanly, as a humorously obnoxious yet caring boss who nevertheless has shown great bravery and integrity in the face of the assorted villains with which the Bugle comes into contact, and whose campaign against Spider-Man comes more from fear of youngsters following his example. In either case, he has remained an important part of the Spider-Man mythos.
Jameson is also the father of John Jameson and I know I've never actually cast a Spider-man casting before, theres been so many I'd just pick mainly whats been picked but I truly believe R Lee Ermey is JJJ, he breaths it, lives it, awesome actor and the caliber of his acting skills of this part could be phenomenal, (Perry White too) think about it!
Okay other two actors that I could truly see as the man with the skull Frank Castle... The Punisher:
Tahmoh Penikett (BSG)
Height 6' 2½" (1.89 m)
In 2003, the 1978 science fiction television series 'Battlestar Galactica, was "reimagined" as a three hour miniseries on the SciFi Channel. The miniseries was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and Penikett, a local actor, auditioned and was cast in the part of Karl "Helo" Agathon, an officer in the Colonial Fleet. The miniseries proved highly successful, and a 'Battlestar Galactica' series was commissioned.
The role was not based on a character in the original series, and was meant to be confined only to the miniseries; in the miniseries Helo is shown giving up a spot on a spaceship fleeing the doomed planet of 'Caprica.' Penikett was recently cast as a regular as Paul Ballard on Joss Whedon's sci-fi drama 'Dollhouse.' Great actor, needs break out movie role and this could be it!
Owain Yeoman (Mentalist)
Height 6' 4" (1.93 m)
Yeoman currently appears as Agent Wayne Rigsby in 'The Mentalist' and has been in shows like 'Generation Kill.' Yup he is the perfect big screen Captain Marvel (Shazam!) but he would make an awesome Punisher, he really reminds me of Mike Zeck's Punisher, check out the '85 classic and first Punisher mini series from Marvel comics!
Owain just screams Frank and he too, even though is on a hit TV show, needs a break out role and is destined to play a comic book role, amazing actor!
Both good actors and could pull Frank off easy... So who do you like best Tom, Tahmoh or Owain, you decide!
LEEE777 - Hope you like, took forever and more to finish up, was actually going to put it all up on Sunday but another Punisher casting appeared just before I was going to post it, so I waited. Got a Kingpin pick but saving that for the Daredevil casting I've never done yet, hope you enjoyed.
