I should get it out now that this won't be everyone's cup of tea, some of you will not get or like some picks, and others would probably love it, however i've stayed far from the obviou on some of these as I think it's better that way. Also some characters i've included solely because of the cosmic side to them, which the FF would be the door to. Ok, now I've been wanting a good FF film lately, one that'd be worth a damn, that's on an epic scale and would open the doors to the cosmic universe, helmed by Marvel Studios of course, and if Fox doesn't make a movie any time soon, the rights will revert and that would an extremely awesome thing because Fox's FF just sucked from the mis-casting of Jessica (just for hotness), to a crappy Dr. Doom and Galactus, and i'd love to have a more mature cast. My personal choice to direct would be Duncan Jones, who could give this an epic scale, and make it cerebral sci-fi at the same time.
Patrick Wilson is Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic
I really love this guy's acting, he's got this really noticeable charisma to him and his acting seems very sincere and real, which would work perfect for Reed, and you need a strong actor for the part, imo, so he could give a more mature spin than the last attempt. He's just right for an older Reed.
Charlize Theron is Sue Storm/Ms. Fantastic
Charlize was just perfect for what I was looking for, the exact right age, looks and strong acting, and im entirely sur she can pull of the homely, strong motherly type she is to the group as well as being sexy while doing it, which was something the extremely mis-casted (and young) Alba was lacking.
Jensen Ackles is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch
Jensen already has the charming, funny asshole thing down and would be absolutely perfect as the reckless, fame-hungry one of the group, plus I think he'd have great chemistry with both my Ben Grimm and Peter Parker picks. As well as have the right age and look, of course. Although I was thinking if Ryan Reynolds wasn't already Deadpool and GL, he would have made a great Johnny, but still, you know my number one choice^.
Jeffrey Donovan is Ben Grimm/The Thing
This may seem like a weird choice at first, but I needed someone closer to Reed's age, and I've seen Ben as the 'action hero' type, which Donovan undoubtedly is, and he has the look from the pic of Grimm I found. He'd need to put on a gruffer voice and the new yawk accent, but if you're a fan of his you know the dude can do anything, so this somewhat tortured badass wouldn't be difficult for him, plus him and Ackles would be hilarious. Also, the Thing needs to be bigger tis time around.
Kristen Bell is Alicia Masters
I found that Kristen was probably too big a face to be a main character, however since I wanted to include her, she'd be amazing as the cute, sweet girlfriend type, and seems a good match for Donovan.
Bret Harrison is Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Now im a huge fan of Reaper and if you've seen the show then you know Bret can be everything Peter is, Loyal, Geeky, Moral, Witty, Caring you name it, he can do it. For an older Peter, Bret is absolutely perfect and a great counterpart for Ackles (this would be mostly cameos, but spidey'd be good friends with Johnny).
James Caviezel is Namor the Sub-Mariner
I'm rather a fan of an actually imposing and built Namor, which the 6'2 Caviezel could easily pull off, and the guy deserves a cbm role, he's an amazing actor who could bring a whole new dimension to the arrogant prince and overall has the right look.
Garrett Hedlund is Richard Rider/Nova
Well for me, Garrett just is Nova. If there's ever a Nova movie made it needs to be the actual star wars of cbm's and Hedlund's the man to make it happen, an amazing young dude. Make it happen, Marvel Studios. And for those who think he's obvious, although he kinda is, really of the known pool of actors he's the best I know of, right height, voice, talent, looks and if you have a better choice, offer it up.
Peter Saarsgard is Black Bolt
I feel that Peter was extremely wasted in GL for a badly-written and executed villain and the guy really deserves better. Seeing as Black Bolt needs a guy with enough talent to speak a thousand words without saying any, Saarsgard seemed like a no-brainer.
Alicia Witt is Medusa
Witt has yet to make it big, but she's really a bundle of talent waiting to be found, with the exact right look, plus being a natural red-head for a change, to make her a perfect companion to Saarsgard's Bolt.
Alan Tudyk is Uatu the Watcher
Weird Choice? Maybe. I really chose him because he was absolutely awesome as Sonny in I,Robot., the Sentient botgone wrong and showed some real depth from that alone. I think he has an amazing voice for the role, and even his distinct look could be incorporated, though it'd probably be in motion capture, but he'd be great as the otherworldly watcher.
Brad Dourif is Philip Masters/Puppet Master
Dourif is the epitome of a creepy as hell older man, and under-rated one to boot, who could make Puppet Master, who's normally a character I don't much care for, creepier than creepy, menacing and actually worth a damn, plus the dude looks the role perfect.
Michael Emerson is Mole Man
Mole man is a weak and cheesy character on his own, imo, so the inclusion of him would have to be tweaked. I really just imagine him to be a social reject who goes insane and lives with his creatures, which would be amazing to see on-screen, and Emerson is the man who could give the dude more creepiness and depth.
Ray Wise is M.O.D.O.K
MODOK can be a really cool villain if he's done right and with the right actor, and Ray has alot of talent for such little recognition, and while he was amazing as the devil in Reaper, he was just plain-old scary and creepy in Twin Peaks, just the right person to do this, and his face should be incorporated slightly but not exactly his face.
Brian Steele is Super Skrull
The pic is of Steele as the Berserker Predator in 'Predators', and the dude is actually pretty enormous and has played countless beasts and creatures, so he's mastered the movements needed for a character like this, someone would probably have to dub him, though.
David Bowie (motion capture and voice) is Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer
Some of you are probably thinking, Wha? Are you crazy? Well I happen to think Bowie's a top-notch choice for the Surfer because he already has mastered otherworldly from just living his life, and his voice would be epic being all philosophical and such, especially considering this would be mo-capped anyway. Plus he's actually a good actor (yes, he's acted, in case you didn't know) from what i've seen of him. And it really only helps that he's the father of my choice of director, and I think he'd be a pretty big box office draw.
Christopher Lee is Galactus
Lee is the only person who should play Galactus, and yes, in all his bucket head glory, Galactus is one of my favorite characters ever and deserves more than just some [frick]ing cloud, plus Lee's voice is exactly what Galactus' should sound like, Exactly.
John Hurt is Annihilus
Hurt is a legendary actor, and I think he really needs to be in a cbm, and in my opinion the man's epic voice would be amazing as Annihilus, and would be an awesome and welcome addition to an annihilation film. Seriously this'd be sinister.
Tim Roth is Thanos
Another WTF? casting choice. You'll either like it or hate it. So it's just my opinion that Roth was absolutely wasted as abomination, because the man has too much talent to finally be in a cbm and then just be that, abomination. I really don't think it'd matter if he were here, because it'd be voice and mo-cap, so no one would recognize him anyway, and the cosmic tyrant deserves an amazing performance, so his voice would be off, like I said AMAZING actor, he could pull it off, no doubt in my mind. And no Michael Clarke Duncan, please.
Guy Pearce is Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom
Dr. Doom is quite possibly the best villain that has ever been written. He has become my favorite and was absolutely massacred in the FF films. This 6'7 armored Doom doesn't take off his mask, is the monarch of latveria (with that Shakesperian tinge), and is more than just evil, he's like the embodiment of the devil himself, arrogance and all, the genius/sorcerer and is the type of villain that deserves an oscar-worthy performance. So my last pick wasn't well received and honestly thinking about it, what I wrote was more a love letter to one of my favorite actors than anythig tbh. Plus, Oldman is very overused and im the type of person that thinks most of the time the original choice is better. So I couldn't believe I overlooked Pearce in the first place, one of my favorite actors, who's closer to My Reed's age, and is absolutely brilliant, and once again has immense talent that shouldn't be wasted on a sub-par villain.
btw, this is frickin awesome^
