At first I didn't want to accept JOE MANGANIELLO as SUPERMAN
because he seemed too ethnic on TRUE BLOOD. But the more I studied
JOE'S acting and looked at his pictures I realized how good of an actor
he has become and that they are doing something with his appearance
and coloring his skin darker for his Latino character on TRUE BLOOD.
Thus I have come to the conclusion he is the ideal actor to Play a mid-30's
Clark Kent/Superman for the big screen. At 6'5” and his well-built frame,
JOE is a statuesque and formidable form! I have come over to the JOE-
camp! So I call this a "JOEBOOT" JLA!
I want an action-oriented SUPERMAN and JLA movies, not a dry, dull
drama! Action with some drama to propel the story forward is the ideal!
I want the JLA to be a heroic team, not a corrupt team that Batman has
to watch like a hawk to see if they will step out of line, like the lame
(I feel) story/script idea for MILLER'S failed-to launch JUSTICE LEAGUE:
IMMORTAL movie. The only good thing that came out of that failed
attempt was the MEGAN GALE as WONDER WOMAN casting idea.
Yes, a heroic JLA who pull together to fight a threat that is too great for
only one of them, individually, to fight and finally defeat! I want a feel-good
ending where good triumphs over evil! Not a dark dreary JLA where you're
not really sure who the hero actually is, like THE DARK KNIGHT!
The JLA aren't antiheroes, for crying out loud!
Now, I'm not going to go much into the individual muddled-up DC histories
of these characters here. These guys...and gals, are just too damn well-
known, that I should have to go into detail here! But I chose actors that are
tall and in their mid-30's. Most of the actresses are tall where they need to
be and they're relatively young.
