Well, when I did the SECRET AVENGERS on request I was already
working on a MOON KNIGHT casting, like I said, so I already had a
bunch of pictures pertaining to MK and JEFFREY DONOVAN.
Thus I thought it would be good to segue' here into my MOON KNIGHT
fancast next!
I really like MOON KNIGHT, myself, and I want to continue my series of
horror-related castings, here, that started with my "Brother Voodoo" and
"Legion of Monsters" fancasts.
Now MK isn't horror exactly but it has horror elements in it and he has
met up with a bunch of paranormal characters in his career.
I want to start at the beginning when he wasn't so twisted and was
trying to do good in the Big Apple. This is MK's origin and the story
about his first major gig, being hired to capture WEREWOLF BY
NIGHT, JACK RUSSELL, by the criminal business group, “THE
COMMITTEE”, headed by the corrupt businessman BARON
THUNDER. I have updated Baron Thunder's name here to the alias,
“MISTER THUNDER”. It sounds way better I think.
I don't think his origin story is big enough for a whole movie so I
thought the origin with BUSHMAN would be the first third of the movie
and then his first big job as MK, his doings with JACK RUSSELL,
would finish off the last two thirds.
It would also give an introduction to JACK RUSSELL/WEREWOLF BY
NIGHT, to set up his solo movie. But this here is the older Jack Russell
who's been on the run and on the hunt for a cure for his Lycanthropy
since his eighteenth birthday.
Now Marc Spector's MOON KNIGHT origin begins with his meeting
up with Jean-Paul Du Champ after he left the C.I.A. and then he and
“FRENCHIE”, Marc's nickname for Jean-Paul, becoming mercenary
soldiers together.
Marc & Frenchie took a job in the CONGO for an African despot
named, RAOUL BUSHMAN. Marc only worked for the money but
BUSHMAN loved killing and plundering.
When Bushman massacred the inhabitants of Selima, as well as archaeologist
Peter Alraune, to find an Egyptian pharaoh's tomb, Spector could stomach no
more. He got Alraune's daughter MARLENE to safety at the tomb and challenged
Bushman, who mortally wounded him in the desert.
Spector managed to reach the tomb before he collapsed, and Marlene and the crew
laid him beneath an idol of KHONSHU, the Egyptian god of the
moon, the god of vengeance and healing. His spirit had an encounter with
Khonshu, who promised to save his life in exchange for his service. Spector
agreed, although he later considered this encounter an hallucination.
Restored to life, he punished Bushman's men, while Bushman himself escaped.
Finally having found a purpose in life, Spector applied himself with a will.
He, Du Champ, and Alraune (now his lover) moved to New York, taking the idol
along. With their help he developed the costume, equipment, and persona of
Moon Knight. With his fortune he garnered from his mercenary jobs and smart
investing he could not only support his new career of fighting crime he
could create another persona: Steven Grant, financier. Finally, to
gather information at street level, he created a fourth persona: Jake Lockley,
cab driver. FRENCHIE became the pilot of the “MOON-COPTER” helicopter.
In the future maintaining these multiple personalities would prove a terrible
strain on Marc's mind.
Spector's first major job as Moon Knight came when the COMMITTEE hired him to
capture a WEREWOLF named JACK RUSSELL. He succeeded, in large part thanks to
the silver crescents he was equipped with. However, he learned that the
Committee planned to turn Russell and his sister into controlled werewolves and
use them both as weapons. He did the honorable thing and switched sides;
together Spector and Russell shut down the Committee. This is the first ever
appearance of MOON KNIGHT in WEREWOLF BY NIGHT, VOL.1, issues #32 & #33.
My MOON KNIGHT Fancast:
JEFFREY DONOVAN: CLINT EASTWOOD'S “THE CHANGELING” and “BURN NOTICE” on
USA Channel.
MOON KNIGHT gets very powerful after the sun goes down and even more
strength and durability during the full moon phases. He has a kevlar-
silver costume and silver-crescent throwing-blades.
MOON KNIGHT (MARC SPECTOR): JEFFREY DONOVAN
MOON KNIGHTS 3 OTHER PERSONAS (Jeffrey does tons of different charcters
with different accents when he's undercover on "BURN NOTICE" so he should
be able to do these three with ease!):
Now most people see Frenchie as a very thin man but he was a mercenary
soldier so he couldn't be too thin and non-muscular. I chose CARLOS
BERNARD who played TONY ALMEIDA for like forever (115 episodes) on 24
with KEIFER SUTHERLAND. He is slim but still looks like a very bad ass
mercenary operative. He also does a mean foreign accent, he did a good
one as a bad guy on JEFFREY DONOVAN'S “BURN NOTICE”.
JEAN-PAUL “FRENCHIE” DU CHAMP: CARLOS BERNARD
Rosie may be a VICTORIA'S SECRET model but I think she is going
to surprise everyone when she takes over the lead in TRANSFORMERS
3. She is a lot smarter than people would give her credit for and I
think she's going to be light years better than Megan Fox (altho'
that's not really saying much—LOL). I think she would do just fine
as MARLENE here! And furthermore, man, she's as hot as a Christmas
Pepper! (“SWEET CHRISTMAS!”, as LUKE CAGE always says!--LOL)!
She's British and happens to be Jason Stathan's main squeeze right now
(Lucky Basturd!)LOL
MARLENE ALRAUNE: ROSIE HUNTINGTON WHITELY
Bill just reminds me of an old archeologist such as PETER ALRAUNE.
DR. PETER ALRAUNE SR.: BILL NIGHY
WEREWOLF BY NIGHT (JACK RUSSELL): STEPHEN MOYER
NICKI AYCOX is recognized as a hot movie Scream Queen (JEEPERS
CREEPERS II) and starred as DEMON-GIRL MEG on SUPERNATURAL.
She also was Lilly Rush's sister on COLD CASE on CBS. Now she is
tough undercover cop with a checkered past, JAMIE ALLEN, in "DARK
BLUE" on TNT, another TV police procedural produced by JERRY
BRUCKHEIMER. I think she is perfect for JACK'S sister who is also
a werewolf.
LISSA RUSSELL: NICKI AYCOX
KHONSHU: FARAN TAHIR (VOICE)
BAD GUYS:
Hakeem was in "Hotel Rwanda" with Don Cheadle and played evil
African Colonel IKE' DUBAKU on 24! He was very scary and impressive
in the role. He would make a perfectly menacing Raoul Bushman.
RAOUL BUSHMAN: HAKEEM KAE-KAZIM
Clancy would be ideal for the evil businessman and mouthpiece for the
rest of “THE COMMITTEE”, hiding in the shadows.
MISTER THUNDER: CLANCY BROWN
