Composer: A film score (also sometimes called background music or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question. Scores are written by one or more composers, under the guidance of the film's director and/or producer, and are then usually performed by an ensemble of musicians – most often comprising an orchestra or band, instrumental soloists, and choir or vocalists – and recorded by a sound engineer.

Danny Elfman (Notable Works: Beetlejuice, Darkman): Danny Elfman is a master composer his scores entrance and inspire movie goers and fans alike. He’s written iconic themes such as the Simpsons theme, The Batman Animated Series theme. Having him score an X-Men Film is a challenge, giving a composer a challenge is giving them a reason to do a project and with Danny Elfman’s history of composing it would be hard to challenge him, but the results give some of his best musical cues.

Director: Directors are responsible for overseeing creative aspects of a film under the overall control of the film producer. They often develop the vision for a film and carry out the vision, deciding how the film should look, in other words they make their vision come to life. They are responsible for turning the script into a sequence of shots. They also direct what tone it should have and what an audience should gain from the cinematic experience. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring the cast and key crew members. They coordinate the actors' moves, or blocking and also may be involved in the writing, financing and editing of a film.

Sam Raimi (Notable Works: Darkman, Evil Dead): Raimi is an avid Comic book fan, at this point in his career he was a wishful thinking choice. He makes great films and great comic book movies. This would have really let him flesh out his style and let him develop films as a storyteller that had an impact and would have made him doing Spider-Man all the more certain.

Screenwriter: Screenwriters are responsible for researching the story, developing the narrative, writing the screenplay, and delivering it, in the required format, to Development Executives. Screenwriters therefore have great influence over the creative direction and emotional impact of the screenplay and, arguably, of the finished film. They either pitch original ideas to Producers in the hope that they will be optioned or sold, or screenwriters are commissioned by a producer to create a screenplay from a concept, true story, existing screen work or literary work, such as a novel, poem, play, comic book or short story.

J.J. Abrams (Notable Works: Regarding Henry, Forever Young) & Sam Raimi (Notable Works: Evil Dead, Darkman): J.J. Writes great characterization and does well with the geek market. Raimi is an avid comic book fan as well with Abrams, Both were suited to be wish list picks for an X-Men pick of the 90’s and could even do a great job with the films now.

Professor Charles Xavier (Height: 6’, Age: 40’s-60’s): Charles Francis Xavier had a dream, where mutants and humans lived together in perfect harmony and peace, as equals and used his family's fortune to found Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the X-Men, New Mutants, and even Generation X, to see this dream through. Losing the use of his legs, Xavier never let his weakness hold him back from his goals. Born with psychic abilities, he is arguably the most powerful telepath on the planet. Teaching his students to use their new found powers safely and with responsibility and, at times, going to extreme lengths to ensure his dream, Professor X has been viewed as a builder and destroyer of dreams. Professor X's longtime friend and sometimes foe, Magneto, would see mutants rule over their oppressors, but, alongside his X-Men, Professor X strives to defend and protect the humans that would otherwise be targets.

Christopher Reeve (Height: 6’3”, Age: 45 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Superman, Somewhere in Time): Casting Charles Xavier you want an actor with a sensible public relations record, and one who is a genuine hero. Reeve was an amazing person and actor. He had the responsible nature, the influential persona to play such a person as Xavier before the character became a complete butthole. Reeve has probably made history as being a superman on and off the set, and with an actor like him he would have been perfect for Xavier.

Scott Summers/Cyclops (Height6’3”, Age: 20’s-30’s): Originally dubbed Slim Summers, Slim became just a nickname. Scott is the first X-Man recruited by Professor X; Xavier hand-picks Scott to lead his X-Men, and to carry on the legacy of his mutant-human-harmony ideals. Xavier views Scott as one of his most prized pupils; their relationship exhibits father/son qualities. From time to time Scott's extreme loyalty to Xavier has cost him dearly in his relationships with others; but, over the course of the characters' publication history, he eventually emerges from Xavier's shadow as the X-Men's undisputed leader.

Liev Schreiber (Height: 6’3”, Age: 30 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Mixed Nuts, Mad Love): Liev is a fantastic actor who has the stocky build, commanding voice, and height to play Cyclops. To add on he is a genuine actor who’s always giving thoroughly great performances. Giving him a role as a main hero and a serious character to work with, with a type of hindrance gives him a rare challenge, but the character is perfect for him as an actor to work with.

Jean Grey/Marvel Girl (Height: 5’6”, Age: 20’s-30’s): As a founding member of the X-Men, Jean Grey has been fighting for the peaceful coexistence of mutants and humans as Marvel Girl and later Phoenix most of her life. While piloting a spacecraft back to Earth, Jean was saved by the Phoenix Force and placed in a cocoon to heal, while the Phoenix impersonated her.

Diane Lane (Height: 5' 5¼", Age: 32 {As of 1997}, Notable Works: Knight Moves, Chaplin): With Jean came the greatest of challenges; I wanted to get a good actress who was more than Sex appeal. Diane has proved herself to be a formidable actress, and while she’s not a natural red head I’m sure that her hair color could be altered. Simply put I think she would have given the best performance for the role.

Hank McCoy/Beast (Height: 5’11”, Age: 30’s-40’s): As a founding member of the X-Men, intelligently gifted Hank McCoy has been fighting for the peaceful coexistence of mutants and humans most of his life. Born with a physique, strength, and muscular structure greatly resembling an ape, Hank was known as Beast. Later, becoming a biophysicist at the Brand Corporation, Hank drank a serum he had created and further mutated himself into a blue furred, strong beast with fangs and claws.

Jonathan Frakes (Height: 6’4”, Age: 45 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Star Trek The Next Generation, Star Trek Generation): With Beast I always seem to cast Older, which if it’s that big of a hinderance just say he was a child hood friend of Xavier and became one of the first teachers along Charles and Max. I really wanted Jonathan for this role, He’s intelligent and has the civilized feel to Beast but can also do the action when necessary. I don’t think there’s many actors who could do as well as he could in the role, and was without a doubt my only choice, since Kelsey had played the character later in X-Men The Last Stand.

Logan/Wolverine (Height: 5’3”, Age: Unknown): Logan, Wolverine is a mutant who possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, three retracting bone claws on each hand and a healing factor that allows him to recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin, at an accelerated rate. The healing factor also slows down his aging process, enabling him to live beyond a normal human lifespan. His powerful healing factor enabled the supersoldier program Weapon X to bond the near-indestructible metal alloy adamantium to his skeleton and claws without killing him.

Jackie Earle Haley (Height: 5’5”, Age: 36 {As of 1997}, Notable Works: Breaking Away, Renegade {T.V. Series S-1, EP-5 “Mother’s Courage”}): I’ve always been of the opinion that for the 90’s the best choice to play Wolverine was Jackie. He’s a formidable actor who’s done some serious drama, some action oriented roles, and has some muscle. The big bonus of Jackie is that he’s almost as short as the character. A lot of people may be deterred from the choice for reasons like: his build or his voice but for a short guy he can get of muscles to make him look mean, and he can deepen his voice to be more graveled, he really was at the time the perfect actor to play wolverine.

Robert “Bobby” Drake (Height: 5’8”, Age: 20’s): As a founding member of the X-Men, Bobby Drake has been fighting for the peaceful coexistence of mutants and humans most of his life. Later, joining groups such as Champions, Defenders, and, later with the founding members of the X-Men, X-Factor, Bobby has always found himself returning to the X-Men. A very powerful elemental, Bobby uses his thermokinesis to create ice shields, freeze enemies, and absorb cold or moisture around himself.

Neil Patrick Harris (Height: 6’1”, Age: 24 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Doogie Howser M.D.): Bobby Drake became dangerously close to being omitted from the cast, but NPH was just too god for the role to not be mentioned for it. At the time he was only known for the role of Doogie Howser, but he’s always dished out great performances and was very notable for the role. He could have really played this one to a “T.”

Ororo Munroe/Storm (Height: 5’11”, 30’s): After her parents were murdered in the rubble of a plane crash, Ororo Munroe began life as a thief with a severe case of claustrophobia, until she was worshiped as a goddess in a tribe in Africa. After Professor Charles Xavier recruited her for his X-Men, Ororo matured to the point of leading them, fighting for the peaceful coexistence of mutants and humans most of her life.

Angela Bassett (Height: 5’4”, Age: 39 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Boyz in the Hood, Malcolm X): While she’s older then most of my X-Men choices, she is certainly one of the best actresses of her time. Having been in a film closely resembling the tale of the X-Men in the biopic Malcolm X, she has certainly proven she is a wonderful actress and was even a chosen by X-Men writer Chris Claremont as the perfect choice for the role, and I certainly agree.

Jubilation Lee/Jubilee (Height: 5’5”, Age: teens-20’s): Jubilee had the superhuman power to generate "sparkles" out of her hands; consisted of explosive plasma. A teenage "mall rat," she was the X-Men's youngest member in the early 1990s, often playing sidekick to Wolverine. She eventually joined the junior team Generation X. She

Françoise Yip (Height: 5’9”, Age: 25 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Fighting For My Daughter, Rumble in the Bronx): Rumble in the Bronx is my favorite Jackie Chan film, and a childhood favorite of mine. Casting Ms. Yip as Jubilee was me aiming at an actress with the right ethnic background, as well as the talent to play the role and the American Notoriety to play the role of Jubilee, and Ms. Yip is a great choice.

Remy Lebeau/Gambit (Height: 6’2”, Age: 20’s-30’s): As a mutant, Gambit possesses the ability to mentally create, control and manipulate pure kinetic energy to his every whim and desire. He is also incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in card-throwing, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a Bō staff. Few X-Men trusted Gambit, who was originally a professional thief, when he first joined the group. There was consistently a source of stress between him and his on-again off-again love interest Rogue. This was exacerbated when his connections to villain Mister Sinister were revealed, although some of his team members accept that Gambit honestly seeks redemption.

Norman Reedus (Height: 5’10”, Age: 28 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Floating, Mimic): This is a choice based on knowing his style of acting, his looks, and his performances. Personally I think he’d be absolutely perfect, he does closely resemble the character as he was drawn by Jim Lee, and he came to mind while watching a film he did at the end of the 90’s. He would have been a perfect Gambit.

Rogue (Height: 5’8”, Age: 20’s-30’s): Rogue was born as a mutant. More so than most, Rogue considers her powers a curse: she involuntarily absorbs and sometimes also removes the memories, physical strength, and (in the case of superpowered persons) the abilities of anyone she touches. For most of her life, this potentially fatal power prevented her from making any physical contact with others, including her on-off love interest, Gambit, but after many years Rogue finally gained full control over her power.

Neve Campbell (Height: 5’7”, Age: 24 {As of 1997} Notable Works: The Craft, Scream): I can Imagine I’ll get some grief for this. But personally I can just see Neve as a southern Belle type figure, if she were to put the effort in. She is in all credit a good actress especially compared to many other actresses of the 90’s. For some she might not be the perfect choice, but to be honest I feel she is well placed in the role.

Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler (Height: 5’9”, Age: 30’s): A mutant, Nightcrawler possesses superhuman agility, the ability to teleport, invisibility in deep shadows, and adhesive hands and feet. His physical mutations include blue fur, two-toed and -fingered feet and hands (not including thumbs), yellow eyes, and a prehensile tail. Nightcrawler is a German Catholic and is vocal about his faith.

Ewan McGregor (Height: 5' 10½", Age: 26 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Blue Juice, Trainspotting): McGregor is an actor who I really wanted to cast as Nightcrawler, I was pleasantly surprised to discover he was an active performer during the 90’s and immediately cast him. As an actor he has the adaptability to play the character, and has a very remarkable way with his performances and usually gives them no less them a 100% of his talent.

Piotr “Peter” Rasputin/Colossus (Height: 6’6” {Normal} 7’2” {Armored}, Age: 30’s-40’s): A Russian mutant, the character is a member of the X-Men, and is by far the physically strongest member of the team, being able to transform into a strong metallic form, even without his powers he holds a physically imposing figure standing at 6' 6". Throughout the series he has been portrayed as a quiet, shy character, honest and innocent. He has had a fairly consistent presence in X-Men-related comic books since his debut. A talented artist, he only reluctantly agrees to use his powers in combat, feeling it is his responsibility to use his abilities for the betterment of human and mutant-kind.

Paul Bettany (Height: 6’3”, Age: 26 {As of 1997}, Notable Works: Sharpe’s Waterloo, Bent): Colossus was the absolute hardest to cast. When finding the right actor I scourged profiles of actors active in the 90’s and came round to Paul, who I never even considered until I found out that he was 6’3”, which is fairly tall and I searched through his filmography and found that he had indeed worked in the 90’s. As amazing an actor as he is I could trust him to put on a Russian accent and give a very accurate and thorough performance as Colossus. He’s definitely a good enough actor and has the look for it, knowing that he has the talent solidified him in the role.

Kathryn “Kitty” Pryde/Shadowcat (Height: 5’5”, Age: 20’s-30’s): A mutant, Pryde possesses a "phasing" ability that allows her and objects or people with which she is in contact to become intangible. This power also disrupts any electrical field she passes through, and lets her simulate levitation. At the time of her membership, under the codename Sprite (suggested by Storm in lieu of Professor X's suggestion, Ariel), Pryde was the youngest person invited to join the team of mutant superheroes the X-Men.

Winona Ryder (Height: 5' 3½", Age: 26 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Edward Scissorhands, Little Woman): She may not be a favorite actress of many, but growing up I was fascinated with her and her character in Beetlejuice. Being of Jewish decent was a bonus, I’ve been a fan of Winona for years, and I’ll be the first to admit shes not perfect for all the roles she’s played {Bram Stoker’s Dracula being a key example} but she would certainly have made quite the interesting and vivid portrayal of Shadowcat.

Warren Worthington III/Angel (Height: 6’, Age: 20’s-30’s): A mutant, Angel originally possesses a pair of large feathered wings extending from his back, enabling him to fly. He is the heir and CEO of the multi-billion dollar Worthington Industries. This privileged background results in Warren being stereotyped as an arrogant and self-absorbed playboy during his early years with the X-Men. This personality was ultimately replaced with a more introspective and brooding personality in the late 1980s, when the character was revamped into the more grim and gritty "Archangel" persona.

Sean Patrick Flannery (Height: 5’11”, Age: 32 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Powder, Young Indiana Jones): Really I think the best convincing argument I could come up with is that he did such a great job as Young Indiana Jones, and with such a different take on the character, I wanted to see how he would play Warren. He’s got the pretty boy look and talent to play a perfect adaptation of Angel.

Nathan Summers/Cable (Height: 6’8”, Age: 50’s-60’s): Rumored amongst the group to be an X-Man or the Son of one from the Future Cable is a mutant badass venturing to the past to prevent a post-apocalyptic future. He is eventually revealed (to and by Wolverine) as the future Son of Scott Summers and Jean Grey.

Peter Weller (Height: 6’, Age: 53 {As of 1999}, Notable Works: Robocop, Screamers): First I know I used him in my Superman cast, but he is really perfect for this character, second he had the look down pretty well in Screamers, third he was Robocop. Can anyone really imagine how awesome he would be as Cable? I mean seriously he’s one of the most lawded over Sci-Fi actors, he’s made an iconic sci-fi film for which we will always know his name, casting him as Cable I just adding more awesome onto the sheer awesomeness of roles Weller has delved into.

Lucas Bishop (Height: 6’6”, Age: 40’s): Bishop was a member of Xavier's Security Enforcers (initially called the Xavier School Enforcers), a mutant police force from a dystopian future of the Marvel Universe. He traveled to the 21st century and joined the X-Men, a team he knew only as legends. A brash antihero, he had difficulty adjusting to the norms of the time period.

Michael Jai White (Height: 6’, Age: 32 {As of 1999}, Notable Works: Lion Strike, Ballistic): A no brainer, he looks and pretty much acts like Bishop. He's an actor that has the right feel and movements to really encompass all the Bishop is but bring something new to the character.

Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Height: 6’2”, Age: 30’s): The insane merc with the mouth.

Bruce Campbell (Height: 6’1”, Age: 41 {As of 1999} Notable Works: Army of Darkness, Congo): In all honesty, he has the comedic chops, fanboy background/geek cred, the perfect voice, and is no stranger to action oriented roles. He was born to play Deadpool.

Senator Robert Kelly (Height: 5’10”, Age: 40’s-50’s): He is a prominent United States Senator who began his career on an anti-mutant platform, and as the X-Men team is made up entirely of mutants, his role tends to be that of an antagonist. However, towards the latter days of his career, he began to change his views on mutants as a whole.

Bruce Greenwood (Height: 6' 0½", Age: 41 {As of 1997} Notable Works: Passenger 57, Exotica): Outside of just looking exactly like the character, Bruce has the commanding voice and the presence of a political figure like Senator Kelly. He has a very commanding walk and with the right link to the character could really flesh out the layered hatred Senator Kelly has for the mutant race.

Graydon Creed (Height: 6’, Age: 30’s): Graydon formed a group called the Friends of Humanity, dedicated to opposing mutant civil rights by committing acts of terrorism against peaceful mutants and mutant sympathizers, and using the acts of violent mutants such as Magneto to rally support for their cause.

Robert Sean Leonard (Height: 6’, Age: 28 {As of 1997}, Notable Works: Dead Poets Society, Safe Passage): Rob Leonard is an odd choice for Graydon but I wanted to cast someone who would look like they were built for a political Background, and could become president. Leonard is a great actor and really has that look to him, He definitely could be a great Graydon Creed.

Boliver Trask (Height: 5’10”, Age: 40’s) - The architect for the US Government 'Sentinel Initiative', a response to Magneto's terrorist attacks on Capitol Hill. Initially, the Sentinels patrolled Los Angeles, and then New York City, destroying any human containing mutant genes.

Kevin Spacy (Height: 5' 10½", Age: 38 {As of 1997}, Notable Works: L.A. Confidential, A Time to Kill): This is entirely because of his performance in A Time To Kill. Spacey really is an actor’s actor, giving very Oscar oriented performance. Though I think the nature of the role itself with its underlining themes of prejudice and science would give Spacey great grounds to spring from.

Max Eisenhartd/Magneto (Height: 6’2”, Age: 50’s-80’s) - A powerful mutant with the ability to generate and control magnetic fields, Magneto has been the X-Men's most prominent enemy ever since his first appearance. In his early appearances, his motives were bent on megalomania, but writers have since fleshed out his character and origin, revealing him to be a Jewish Holocaust survivor whose actions are driven by the purpose of protecting the mutant race from suffering a similar fate. His role in comics have varied from supervillain to antihero to even hero. His character's early history has been compared with the civil rights leader Malcolm X.

Terrence Stamp (Height: 6’, Age: 60 {As of 1998}, Notable Works: Superman 2, The Real McCoy): He was General Zod, it would be hard for him to not be perfect for this role. That and with his friendship to actor Christopher Reeve {My Xavier Choice} the friendship between Charles and Max would seem very authentic and easy to grasp. Terrence is a pure genius of an actor and who’s very voice is an iconic staple that has been adapted to the comic book medium, he would be perfect for Magneto.

Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Height:5’7”, Age: 20’s-30’s) - The Scarlet Witch is a mutant who had the ability to manipulate probability via her "hexes" (often manifesting physically as "hex spheres" or "hex bolts"). These hexes are relatively short range, and are limited to her line of sight. Casting a hex requires a gesture and concentration on her part, though the gestures are largely a focus for the concentration and despite this precision, the hexes are not necessarily guaranteed to work, particularly if Wanda is tired or using her powers excessively.

Milla Jovovich (Height: 5' 8½", Age: 23 {As of 1998}, Notable Works: The Fifth Element, Dazed and Confused): If you don’t think she’s a good actress watch the Fifth Element, if you have and you still think that, well then I guess you just don’t like her. Honestly she is a fantastic actress and has always been my 90’s Scarlet Witch choice. She has the look, the talent, and the feel of what the Scarlet Witch needs to become a 3rd dimensional character on film.

Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver (Height: 6’, Age: 20’s-30’s) - Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. Originally capable of running at the speed of sound, able to run at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 5 and resist the effects of friction, reduced oxygen, and kinetic impact while moving at super-speeds. The character's speed allows him to perform feats such as create cyclone-strength winds; run up walls and cross bodies of water.

Adrien Brody (Height: 6’1”, Age: 25 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Ten Benny, Bullet): Brody, much like Milla, at this time was up and coming. He is an actor who’s done Films closer to Drama than action, personally he’d fit the role well just as an actor who needs to show a very expanded range. He’s always shown a talent for action that wasn’t very harnessed, he’s done some but not much and putting him in very dramatic role like Quicksilver is giving a comfort zone to work with but something to jump out of.

Emma Frost/White Queen (Height: 5’10”, Age: 30’s-40’s) - An urbane, mutant telepath with a well-noted dry wit initially known as the White Queen (complete with revealing white attire for which she is known), Frost has changed from one of the X-Men's most dangerous foes to one of its most central members.

Sharon Stone (Height: 5' 8½", Age: 40 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Total Recall, Basic Instinct): I love Sharon in Total Recall, there is her shining moment for me. She really got down the manipulative 8!^(# vibe down, we all know in Basic Instinct she got down the sexual vibe of the character, combining the two for a very definitive take on the White Queen.

Raven Darkholme/Mystique (Height: 5’10”, Age: Unkown{Exact Age is not known, Subject looks to be in her 30’s}) - Little was known about Mystique's past due to the fact that she could eliminate the outward signs of aging with her shape-shifing; it was not known exactly how old she was. She apparently learned to use her powers at a very early age which made her family fear her, for there is no evidence known to the public or the government that Raven Darkholme ever looked like anything but a normal human being.

Uma Thurman (Height: 6’, Age: 28 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Pulp Fiction, Gattaca): Very Pulp Fiction inspired, and she at the time seriously need to be saved from Batman and Robin. We all know that she is a very formidable actress, she does magnificent work in every performance, and to see her as Mystique would really turn heads and challenge her, as Mystique she really has to adapt the other performers methods and give hints about it, transform her physical form as well as mental state, and seeing her really delve into the mystique state of mind and look would be a treat for the fans.

Cain Marko/Juggernaut (Height: 6’10”, Age: 40’s-50’s) - When Cain Marko finds the Gem of the mystical entity Cyttorak, he is empowered with magical energies and transformed into an immortal avatar for the entity in question. As the Juggernaut, Marko possesses superhuman strength, being capable of shattering mountains, lifting and using buildings as weapons, and extreme durability. The Juggernaut is described as physically unstoppable once in motion, does not tire from physical activity and is able to survive without food, water, or oxygen

Vincent D’Onofrio (Height: 6' 3½", Age: 39 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Strange Days, Men in Black): If you’ve seen his performance in the cell and in Full Metal Jacket, then you would have wanted to cast him as Sabretooth as bad as I wanted to, but I had Lundgren and to be honest I wanted to give Vincent a challenge. I chose Juggernaut because simply, he’s an intelligent wrecker, something of a physical challenge but something also for Vincent to tap into and explore as an actor, I have complete faith he could have delivered a seriously frightening Juggernaut.

Black Tom Cassidy (Height: 6’, Age: 30’s-40’s): Black Tom is a mutant who can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life. He was the black sheep of a prominent Irish family.[2] The X-Man Banshee is his cousin. Tom secretly raised Banshee’s daughter Siryn, of whose existence Banshee was unaware, and conscripted her into his criminal gang. Black Tom was also a longtime partner of the super-strong villain Juggernaut, until Juggernaut's recent reformation.

Guy Pearce (Height: 5’10”, Age: 31 {As of 1998}, Notable Works: Flynn, L.A. Confidential): Honestly if you watch L.A. Confidential, and see how great of a performance he puts on in that film you could really get why he’s my choice for Black Tom. He’s just the best actor for it in my honest opinion.

Mortimer Toynbee/Toad (Height: 5’9”, Age: 40’s): Toad was originally a weak, hunchbacked mutant, with a superhuman leaping ability. He was Magneto's sniveling servant in the 1960s line-up of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Tim Roth (Height: 5’7”, Age: 37 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction): Roth has always been one of my favorite actors, he’s a tiny guy who’s just intense as an actor no matter the role he really throws himself into it and develops the character as thoroughly as he can. Getting him to play toad is a matter of budgetary sense and just getting a good actor to make the character more likeable.

Fred Dukes/Blob (Height: 5’10”, Age: 40’s): A mutant originally depicted as a morbidly obese circus freak, the Blob claims to be immovable. He possesses an extreme amount of pliable body mass, which grants him superhuman strength and his own gravitational pull. Possessing the mindset of a bully, he mostly uses his powers for petty crime and as a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants and Freedom Force.

Patrick Warburton (Height: 6’3”, Age: 34 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Seinfeld, Dragonard): With Blob you really just need a tall comedian, who would be willing to work in a fat suit. Patrick is now best known as the voice of Joe Swanson, but back in the time of the 90’s he was known as the “Fan” on Seinfeld where he turned in some very humorous performances. He’s always great to have around for a laugh and would really tap the inner humor and purpose of the character.

Victor Creed/Sabretooth (Height: 6’6”, Age: 100’s {Subject looks to be in his 30’s-40’s}): The character Wolverine is depicted as his long-time enemy, although conflicting accounts have been given as to the origin of their feud. It is also known that he and Sabretooth were victims of the Cold War super soldier program Weapon X, and that Sabretooth saw Wolverine as competition and tried to make his life miserable. While Wolverine is depicted as suppressing his more savage qualities, Sabretooth does the opposite and embraces them.

Dolph Lundgren (Height: 6’5”, Age: 41 {As of 1998} Notable Works: The Punisher, Dark Angel, Universal Soldier): Really all that needs to be said is, well, when he played Sgt. Andrew Scott in Universal Soldier he basically played Sabretooth, in the Weapon X program. He’s a tall guy who can play that sadistic type of monster and look like he’s enjoying it. Hell even the Ear necklace idea was used for Creed eventually {Ultimate} Lundgren’s physicality and pure acting ability as well as his way of diving deep into a character’s persona make him a perfect choice for Sabretooth.

Arkady Gregorivich Rossovich/Omega Red (Height: 6’11”, Age: 60’s {Subject Looks to be in his 40’s}): The ruthless Russian kept frozen in suspended animation until awoken {in the films by Magneto} and promised power in the new Mutant nation, and whatever assistance he need to gain control of the Carbonadium Synthesizer.

Nicholas Wyman (Height: 6' 4½", Age: 48 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Die Hard With A Vengeance, Weeds): My original 90’s Omega Red had passed away very early on in the 90’s oddly he was in the first Die Hard. But Wyman, who had appeared in Die Hard with a Vengeance, took the original choices spot, Wyman, while American by birth, has the talent to play a perfect Omega Red.

St.John Allerdyce/Pyro (Height: 5’10”, Age: 30’s): A mutant who has the psionic ability to manipulate flame by shaping it as he desires, increasing or decreasing its heat, intensity, and size.

James Marsters (Height: 5' 9½", Age: 36 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Northern Exposure): Marsters is an actor after the hearts of all geeks. Having made a home in the hearts of all geeks as Spike in the Buffy T.V. series, really he’s just got the talent and the status to play a very accurate Pyro.

Karl Lycos/Sauron (Height: 5’6 {Human} 7’ {As Sauron}, Age: 40’s) - Sauron is the alter ego of Karl Lykos, sharing a Jekyll and Hyde relationship with the physician. He is an energy vampire who resembles a humanoid Pteranodon after feeding. He often inhabits the hidden prehistoric jungle of the Savage Land.

William Fichtner (Height: 6' 0½", Age: 42 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Armageddon, Heat): Fichtner is one of my favorite actors, he always has this neat cool guy calm to him, but when push comes to shove he can switch his attitude on a dime and play a very active villain and really is the way I feel Sauron would be expressed on film. Fichtner would certainly pull of the Jekyll and Hyde styled villain.

Gunther Bain/Unus The Untouchable (Height: 6’1”, Age: 30’s-40’s): Born in Italy, where he discovered his mutation Gunther Bain came to the United States and became a wrestler, and when the Beast briefly left the X-Men, he was able to defeat him in a wrestling match. Once in America, he sought out the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to join them. He turned criminal, and fought the X-Men alongside the group. During the battle, his powers were enhanced by a shot fired from Beast's gun, increasing his power beyond his ability to control it, and making him unable to touch anything. He promised to reform, and his normal power level was restored by the Beast. He became a good friend of the Blob, and they teamed up together on various schemes, such as posing as the X-Men and framing them for robbery before both mutants went their separate ways.

Vernon Wells (Height: 5’10”, Age: 53 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Commando, Space Truckers): This was more or less based on his performance as Bennett in Commando. Vernon was able to keep a consistant figure through to the 90’s where he did a film called Space Truckers were he had a consistant figure and was able to portray a convincingly BMF. Gunther is one of the many unused characters and he’s a creative character fit for the “thug” role in Magneto’s Brotherhood.

Dr. Nathanial Essex/Mr. Sinister (Height: 6’5”, Age: 200’s {Subject does not show signs of age Past 50’s and is kept alive via clones}) - 19th Century scientist Nathaniel Essex was genetically altered by the "first" mutant, Apocalypse, who shared his "survival of the fittest" philosophy. Sinister is perhaps the greatest geneticist in the Marvel Universe, capable of cloning, creating, enhancing or controlling mutant abilities.

Tim Robbins (Height: 6’5”, Age: 41 {As of 1999}, Notable Works: The Shawshank Redemption, Jacobs Ladder): Robbins is an actor who should have played villains, he’s such a convincing and well trained performer. Robbins is really someone I think could display Mr. Sinister’s intelligence, his cruelty, and his hated. Robbins has built a career play the nice guy and it would be Liberating for him as an actor to play someone truly evil.

En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse (Height: 7’, Age: Ageless {Thousands of Years old But does not Show signs of age}) - The First Mutant to exist, a god of evil and darkness who seeks to control a universe in ruins so that only the strong shall Survive.

Liam Neeson (Height: 6’4”, Age: 46 {As of 1998} Notable Works: Schindler’s List, Rob Roy): Neeson is one of the most talented actors of any generation. Casting Apocolypse was indeed a challenge, I decided that going ethnically accurate was not as important as it was important enough to get an actor who was talented enough to play the role. Neeson came to mind as someone who could really convey the evolved nature of Apocalypse while also having the perfect voice for it. He really is a good actor to put into the role.

- Sure, I'd be down for Supes as Xavier!
- Eh, I'm not feeling Schreiber as Cyclops. He just doesn't scream the role in my book. What about Michael Vartan?
- Ah, Diane Lane. Perfect height and bosom!
- Haley's perfect for a 90's era Wolverine.
- Good, keep Angela Bassett along for the ride. She was gonna play Storm at one point.
- I'm not familiar with Françoise Yip. Maybe I should check up on Rumble in the Bronx perhaps?
- Ah, Murphy McManus as the Ragin' Cajun? Who am I to say otherwise? Great pick!
- Since when has there been hate for Neve Campbell? The queen of scream in the 90's? I could see her as Rogue; has the pissed off attitude and the gorgeous looks. Since fellow Canuck Anna Paquin played Rogue, why not have another one do the same?
- You hit gold, Jerry, GOLD! Ewan McGregor always plays sweethearts and swashbuckling figures (Obi-Wan Kenobi, anyone?). Nightcrawler would've been a great coup for him.
- Colossus was always presented as a mutant in his 20's, I think. 30-40's? He's supposed to be the same age as Kitty Pryde. Nonetheless, Paul Bettany's a big man and would fit the iron giant perfectly!
- Winona Ryder might be too old for Kitty, but I took your mission statement regarding her to heart. That's what made me cast Shia LaBeouf for Iceman. Winona would've made an excellent Kitty. She can definitely break outside her psycho comfort zone once in a while (Mr. Deeds helped solidify that).
- I might've cast Sean Patrick Flanery as Banshee, since he's a natural Irish-born actor and you don't even have Banshee cast (but you have Black Tom cast?). Then I'd have Ryan Phillipe as Angel (Cruel Intentions, hello!). Still, I trust your judgment. I may have to check out Young Indians Jones in the near future
- Robocop as Cable? Sign me up!
- Michael Jai White. Always a great actor. He's my pick for Blade (cliched, yes, but he busts a move with best), but he looks like Bishop just as much, so I'll give you a pass!
- Ash Campbell is a home run pick for Deadpool!
- Ah, Kevin Spacey would've been aces as Bolivar Trask in the 90's.
- Okay, Terrence Stamp might've made for an epic Magneto, but I think he's probably too old even back then. Of course, we cast Jeremy Irons still. I figured you'd go with Irons for a 90's-skewing Magneto, but hey, it's your cast.
- Funny you went with Jovovich as the Scarlet Witch. Over on deviantART, someone made a poster out of that concept. Pure excellence and originality!
- For Quicksilver, I'd have gone with someone a little more handsome and rugged than Adrien Brody. But to be fare, I wouldn't know where to start since there weren't many actors that matched the criteria. He could've made a great Magneto, since he too plays benevolent and heroic.
- Sharon Stone as Emma Frost? That is so scary... and a grand slam selection!
- You've found another great choice for an actress like Uma Thurman! I think I've thought of her for Mystique even now!
- Edgar in Men in Black did have a Juggernaut-type feel to him.
- Like I said before, how could you have Black Tom Cassidy without brother Banshee? Nonetheless, Guy Pearce is a strong pick!
- Tim Roth is British and small just like Toad. I could easily see him nailing all the necessary aspects. But remember, Toad is played off rather sympathetic and comical.
- Patrick Warburton would've been excellent for the role of Blob, but what do you think of Brad Garrett? Garrett stands at 6'8", would look great in a fat suit, and has a thick voice that matches Blob to a fault.
- A toast for using Dolph Lundgren as Sabretooth, buddy!
- Not a bad choice for Omega Red, even though I'm not familiar with him. But seeing as you listed Weeds in his filmography (is that the TV show or some other movie?), I may be close to seeing what he's all about!
- Considering Marsters is too old for Quicksilver even back then, Pyro would've been choice #2 for him to play.
- I've seen Commando as well, but never ran into Vernon Wells. What a slow adult I am! XD
- I think we would've been seeing Tim Robbins in a new light eventually with his roles in Mystic River and Anchorman. He's sure tall enough for Mr. Sinister, now let's see if he can do the accent.
- Funny you cast Liam Neeson as Apocalypse. Here's a trailer featuring him as the malevolent mutant!

Another win for RobertGarlen!

Riker as Beast is so cool. Jackie Earle Hayley is a great Wolverine! I'm sure DDD will be pleased height wise. Lol, NPH for Iceman? YES! Robocop for Cable, etc. I could go on and on but this is damn near perfect.

I like this cast, I'm not big on fan cast, but I do like this "What If" casting.

In regards to another to an article (The Punisher: One Way To Live) you shared on @deadpoolbeatsall's fan fiction:

@RobertGarlen While I prefer reading things in screenplay format - you did a great job with that little story. Very well described - your wording really made me taste the setting (docks) and the danger of Frank's situation. I could feel the tension - I adore your narrating(?) of the blood bath Frank unleashes with his guns.

Which leads me to ask this question I ask to everyone who's work I enjoy (and find great potential in) - should I expect a feature length Punisher screenplay from you in the future?

Even if this cast is fantastic now I realized that your Colossus doesn't fit that much. Bettany would be better as Quicksilver. What about Goran Visnjic as Colossus?

Only thing I would change is Winona Ryder. Alyssa Milano, back in the day, would've been a fantastic Kitty Pryde. Hell, I picture her when I read the comics lol.
