Beauty and the Beast has been a box office monster, and the live-action adaptation of the Disney classic has now passed the $1 billion mark at the global box office after less than a month in theatres. This milestone makes the film 2017’s highest-grossing film worldwide to date, along with being the highest grossing live-action movie musical of all time.

To thank fans, Disney has released a new video spotlighting the film's press tour, featuring the cast and crew. Check the video out below and let us know what you think!

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Saw this movie with my family, was it perfect? No. But the remakes of the classic songs were really cool to see in theaters, not surprised it has crossed 1 billion already.

B-b-but... It wasn't needed or wanted. I don't understand. How can it be so successful. I specifically remember lots of people telling me no one would see this and it wasn't "needed" (whatever that means).

@TheUnworthyThor - thats like a few people alot of people wanted to see it

Remember Alice in Wonderland made a Billion and that was shit
And Maleficent made over $700 Million and that was shit too

But The Jungle Book made almost a Billion and that was good

@MarvelDCfan18 - I disagree with the narrative that says Jungle Book was good. It was better than Wonderland and Maleficent, but it was still not good.

@MarvelDCfan18 - Oh I know, I'm was being facetious. I just like to laugh at people who say things like that. Like people who claim Avatar 2 will bomb or no one wants to see a Black Widow movie. Just ridiculous exaggerations not set in reality based solely upon the commenter's own tastes.
