Charlie Hunnam Wields Excalibur On The First Poster For KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD

We're bound to get some kind of trailer/footage for Guy Ritchie's King Arther: Legend Of The Sword during Warner Bros.' SDCC panel tomorrow, but in the meantime here's the first teaser poster.

The image features Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim) as the young king, with the fabled sword Excalibur firmly in his grasp... for now.

We can probably expect a slightly more real-world take on this story from Ritchie and co. - though the synopsis does seem to confirm that the sword is magical, at least. Are you guys looking forward to this? Sound off below.

The young Arthur runs the back passages of Londonium with his crew, not knowing his royal lineage until he grabs Excalibur. Instantly confronted by the sword’s influence, Arthur is forced to make up his mind. Joining the rebellion and an enigmatic young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to address her and eventually understand her magic weapon, deal with his demons and unite the people to defeat the dictator Vortigern, the man who murdered his parents and stole his crown to become king.

King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword hits theaters March 24, 2017

I have faith in this film. Unconventional casting but Guy Richie is awesome so I have faith.

Dc should just announce him as Oliver Queen........!!!

That's a bit of a modern hairstyle for King Artur, looking forward to this as enjoyed RockNRolla and Man From Uncle, where I thought Cavill did a good job of playing a charming character with humour.

Would Charlie Hunnam make a good Geralt of Rivia in Witcher movie?

@MrDandy - Hopefully their Guinevere is as good as Lena Headley in Merlin and not bad and skinny like Keira Knightley in the Arthur one.

Guy Ritchie has never disappointed me. This should be cool. But they need to change that font for the title. Looks very cheap.
