Not sure about that laugh at the end, but the costumes and general tone are pretty good I think. Fans of Wendy and Richard Pini's great comics will recognize the likes of Dewshine, Clearbrook and Winowill in the trailer there. I guess they are saving the male characters for a sequel! Anyway. here is some info from their Website..

Welcome to our ElfQuest Fan Fiction trailer site! We hope it delights old fans and entices new ones to fall in love with the world of two moons.

Both of us have been fans of EQ since we were little girls, and this project is a complete labor of love. We are working actresses and producers in the New Media circle and when we discovered our shared lifelong love for this series we were spurred to action. ElfQuest showed us the heroines that we could aspire to become and its magic shaped us, ultimately leading us into the creative entertainment sphere. So we owe it a lot!

Self-published in the 1970's, ElfQuest was a pioneer in the comics scene and this transmedia project represents our hope to champion it to new horizons.

We hope you watch, enjoy and share this trailer with your friends. Our goal is to create new fans and give existing ones a taste of the world we've loved for so long.

Aaaaah Elfquest. I never read it, but I know a lot of people who do. Even in the 80's it was considered to be kind of fringe.

I use to read the Elfquest comic that was part of Marvel's Epic imprint. It was pretty good. A movie would be great, especially if it featured any of the pretty, young ladies in the fan trailer.

Sonny - Actually female ElfQuest fans tend to be like Dawn fans, quite a few of them are actually hot.

ElfQuest is cool but I am not sure it would play well on the screens now without a bit of a revamp. Then again they could probably make it an cable series, it did have violence, nudity and sex.

@ror thanks for clearing that up for me. I remember buying the first issue of Elfquest back in, I think it was 1986? I thought I was buying a silly little elf book for shits and gigs. And then I read it and man! It was pretty racy for something you could pick up at 7 Eleven! There was death, sex...all kinds of great stuff! I started buying the black and white magazine size issues and anything "Elfquest" that I could get my hands on. Good stuff. I'd be curious what they could do with a film or series.

One of the girls in this is an actual "actress". In the vid: :09 Jessica Rose of YouTube's "LonelyGirl15" fame (also from a cancelled WB & ABC Family tv show- per the website linked in article) Other than that, I don't recognize any of them.
