In anticipation of the 3D action movie The Green Hornet on January 14, 2011, Sony Pictures Entertainment has partnered with Trigger Apps, the retail division of Trigger, a digital marketing company specializing in entertainment, to launch a new iPhone & iPad application for the movie. The Green Hornet™ Wheels of Justice application is a 3D action driving game in which players navigate the Black Beauty™ through dangerous downtown streets while defending the city against villainous gangsters.

Taking advantage of the unique device capabilities of the iPad and iPhone, the application will be offered worldwide and available in 12 different languages. Users can play by themselves or with friends using the turn-based multiplayer capability. The Facebook enabled game utilizes: 1) touch or tilt-based steering with left or right-hand controls, 2) a special street fighting style mini-game that is unlocked after select missions, and 3) the App Store’s Game Center for showcasing achievement badges.

The Green Hornet™ Wheels of Justice game is free to download from the App Store, and users can access the first five levels at no cost; those who upgrade the application with a one-time in-app purchase for 99¢ will gain access to levels 6 – 15, additional achievement badges, weapons and special cheat codes to enhance the overall game play.

It looks pretty good for a (mostly) free game! Be sure to share your thoughts on it below and check out the movie in cinemas when it's released on January 14, 2011 in 3D!
