This from Yahoo Movies:

"January isn't a time that usually sees big midnight grosses, so Sony was pleased that "Green Hornet" - which earned an estimated $550,000 at midnight showings - did comparable business to summer titles "Salt," "Grown Ups" and "The Other Guys."

As of today, the film, starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, and Cameron Diaz, will be showing in a total of 3,584 theaters domestically!

I don't care how good the reviews are, which aren't really all that good, this movie looks like it will blow chunks! I could never buy Seth Rogan as a hero type, super or not!

longshot@ I don't think they are trying to make him into a hero type though. From what i understand Kato is the real hero in this movie. Rogan is there for the comic relief and to advance the story. I mean he wrote it, i doubt he would try and make himself into somthing he isn't.

@ flames809

green hornet budget is $90 million,a film studio would like a film to take at least double maybe triple of what it cost to make.

its taken 1/2 a million dollars so far,its a long way off being a box office smash.

@ helagood

i agree. :)

This is quite possibly the worst movie of 2011. Seth Rogen's miscasting as the Green Hornet has been a terrible mistake. Watching him play the Green Vigilate is frustrating and painful. Let's be honest, he ain't convincing. Now, in all fairness, even though he does not have a good command on the English language, Jay Chow's Kung-Fu action scenes are interesting. And as far as Cameron Diaz is concerned, unfortunately, She sucks the life out of this movie.

I just saw it and it was the [frick]ing shit. You have to accept it for what it is. Action/adventure/Comedy. I highly recommend it for movie lovers but not for super nerd haters

A movie with mixed reviews is a lot better than a movie with just bad reviews. BTW if this ends up being the worst movie of the year than it looks like a good year comic book movies.
