Live Facebook Q&A's with fans have become something of a regular occurence for James Gunn. During a break between filming, the director took some time to answer some fan questions and tease some elements of the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 2. One character fans have always wanted to see onscreen is Nova, specifically the Richard Rider iteration of the character. While we've seen the Nova Corps. as a whole in the first film, an appearance from Rider may still be a ways off. "I think there is always a chance of a Nova movie," Gunn said. "I don't think it's something I would do. But it's possible." Gunn has noted his dislike of the character before, so it's safe to say we probably won't see Rider soaring through a Guardians film any time soon.

While Marvel Studios skipped out on San Diego Comic-Con entirely last year, Gunn implied in his chat that things may be a little different this year.  "Am I going to San Diego Comic-Con?! That's a good question!" Gunn teased. "You guys want me to go to San Diego Comic-Con? You'll have to see! I would like to go. That would be amazing, wouldn't it? I would like to come and see you all at San Diego Comic-Con and bring some friends along. That would be awful fun. That would be awful fun. I would really love to do that." From the sounds of it, it looks like we may get our first glimpse at Gunn's sequel at SDCC '16.

Gunn also gave a brief tease of an "emotional scene" involving Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). When asked if there were any practical jokes on set, Gunn replied, "Most of us aren’t really practical jokers, but we did have one day when we were rehearsing a very emotional scene with Mantis  and Drax, and they were sitting in there chairs in our rehearsal space," Gunn said. "We were very emotionally moved; Pom had tears in her eyes, speaking this wonderfully emotional speech, and we look up and through the glass of the doorway... there’s Michael Rooker’s bare, naked ass pressed up against it. So that’s a practical joke on set. There’s another one I can’t tell you about because it’s a spoiler, but I’ll tell you after the movie comes out."

While Gunn maintained secrecy on the production, he praised the performances of the cast. "I don’t wanna tell you too much," he said.  "I think the movie’s going great. I only have two weeks and two days left of shooting this film. I think the movie’s coming together really, really well. I think the cast has been fantastic. Every single actor that was in the first movie has gotten exponentially better. They all know their characters more deeply. Dave Bautista is absolutely killing it. Pom, who plays Mantis is killing it. Karen Gillan has had an amazing couple of weeks. She’s just been fantastic. So I think that there’s some really great stuff."

I'm trying to use less memes to express myself! They're a crutch!

An important note: The Richard Rider Nova Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy movie action figure sold better than all the other Guardians characters.

Worth mentioning.
