Although it has not yet been confirmed whether or not Shane Black will direct the movie, Iron Man 3 is set to be released on May 3, 2012!

I'm sure she will get offered the role, she's as important to Iron Man in these films as Alfred is to Bruce in the Nolan Batman films.

Can't wait for this movie. I really think that Black will make return the franchise to greatness. Maybe even surpass the first film!

In Iron Man 3 everyone gets an Iron Man Armored Suit even Pepper, but what about Happy ? Will he be at Booty Boot Camp?

I thought it was slated for 2013, not 2012. For 2012, Marvel only has The Avengers right now. It was supposed to be Avengers & Runaways but Marvel decided that because Avengers was so big, they would only concentrate on one movie that year and not their normal two. Or am I inaccurate?

Lawbreaker@ Don't be so quick to judge any screenwriter. Making a film is such a colaborative exercise that the buck really has to stop with the director with how a film comes out.

Scriptwriters tend to be the first rung of the ladder in any movie making exercise - and it is very rare for a scriptwriter to be on hand during shooting, post production and editing.

When you consider more than one scriptwriter worked on the film and that the actors would improvise - and then SFX and editing take place - singling one writer out is a bit harsh.

I think the story elements and themes of IM2 were great - it's just the way they were explored and put together wasn't very effective - especially all the SHIELD stuff.

@Ven0m - So Why did John Faverau leave again?

Apparently a few months ago it was posted on here that Favreau did not like how Marvel was involved in telling him to direct the movie scenes and what he should add to the scenes. Marvel was also involved in re-writing the script because there were a lot that was added in the movie to lead the story to the Avengers and apparently Fav did not go well with Marvel taking control and just had enough with them. RDJr also confirmed at the time that after IM3 that it will be his last since Fav wasn't going to direct the 3rd installment.

Personally I thought IM2 was great! far better than the first movie and can't wait for IM3 but pleeze NO MORE COPY CAT IRON VILLAINS!! Lets bring on the Mandarin!!!

@intruder: didn't Favreau and RDJ have somekind of falling-out? i read somewhere they had a fight, that's why Favreau is leaving..

She's the most out of place actor/actress in the Iron Man movies. She clearly cannot keep up with the improv and ad-libbing that RDJ uses in each scene, especially in IM1. She just seems too stiff and uncomfortable, as it is not her classical way of acting in movies.

@tea, I have to disagree with the Paltrow/ScarJo comments. Paltrow seems too uptight, like the type to just lay on her back and require the lights be turned off. You have a much better shot at getting filthy with ScarJo. She'd take a blast to the face and thank you for it after.

I'm not for Pepper and Tony, because I know she marries Happy. Tony likes to shag whoever he feels like and though I do not approve of that behavior in general, it's his character. Committed relationship isn't him.
