Comingsoon sat down with actor Taylor Kitsch recently in order to discuss his upcoming film The Bang Bang Club. They did however, manage to slide John Carter of Mars in to the conversation.

The following excerpts begin at the the 9:45 mark in the video. The 10:40 mark is worth watching to see his reaction when he realises he is giving too much away.

On what it's like playing John Carter...

"Love it man! I love the challenge. Stanton has wrote something very special and as an actor, to be "that guy" and to take the helm, and work it and be collaborative with him through his process has been a dream. And I'll get his coffee tomorrow. Really man, this guy is just a special cat. We work and coincide very well together and hopefully there will be many more films to shoot with him."

"I don't know the arch of John Carter. There's a very... and you'll see it in the trailer, a very strong heartbeat to this film. He's an incredible story teller. And as much as like the stigma with these grandeur films, and all this, that they're nothing but explosives and the odd punch line, this is way more relationship driven and so are the books. And he's very true to that."

"Even with the...I'm giving a lot away. Um..no thats all I'll say. It's an exciting thing."

Andrew Stanton's John Carter of Mars starring Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe, James Purefoy, Mark Strong, Bryan Cranston and Lynn Collins is due out March of next year.

Intruder: Watch the interview where he says that. I'm thinking that he means they are not yet definite where they are taking him in the films (I won't swear to that). There are supposed to be 3 films if the first does well.

So when is the trailer coming, hopefully with THOR or Captain America since Carter is a Disney production

I know they have to water down the graphic stuff for the film since I'm sure they'll be aiming for a pg13 rating. But the book definitely is comes across as R rated material. Either way I hope it turns out great, love the books

Hey marvel72 ol' buddy, ol' pal. If it's so cheap why not grab me up a copy of the Blueray and mail it on over here. I'll reimburse you,... $20 US should equal the cost and shipping. Whadda ya say? "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Puritan today".

marvel: Nobody feels like paying to distribute it here. So far there aren't even any plans for a DVD release.
