First Trailer For JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE FLASHPOINT PARADOX Debuts

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox sets an event in motion that radically changes the DC Universe, and only Barry Allen can change it back to normal!

By TheAlexLynch - May 23, 2013 07:05 PM EST
Many of you probably already know that the graphic novel, Flashpoint, lead to the demise of the classic DC Universe which ultimately lead to DC Comics launching the New 52 line of comics accompanied by a brand new universe. Many characters and events were missing from this new timeline, but the books were still of great quality. Now, Geoff Johns' graphic novel is getting the animated treatment and has been retitled to Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. Check out the first trailer below!

The film stars Justin Chambers as Barry Allen, Kevin McKidd as Thomas Wayne/Batman, Michael B Jordan as Cyborg and C. Thomas Howell as Reverse Flash.

The world is turned upside down as one of earth’s greatest super heroes – Flash – wakes up devoid of his super powers in the all-new Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox – the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Original Animated Movies. Produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, this all-new, PG-13 rated film arrives July 30, 2013 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP), DVD ($19.98 SRP) and Digital Download. The Blu-ray™ Combo Pack will include UltraViolet™*.

DC animated is on point. This looks great so far and voice acting is great. Haven't read flashpoint but looking forward to see how this story turns out.

There are other forms of entertainment other than movies. Animation got alot of people into these characters and continue to be the best form to enjoy these outside of comics. Still waiting for some great animation from that other studio.

Dont for get Injustice DLC and Origin Crisis DLC for DCUO.

I want more Jonah Hex animation..!

Ironically, I loved FlashPoint but I hate the new52 SO much. Very, VERY awesome to get a pure alternate reality movie... but please nothing past this point in comics.

looks.. different I guess. Not bad, but not the same as other DC animation. JL Doom and Dark Knight Returns Pt.2 were awesome, this looks okay-ish.

Um... what? Looks like they took more than a few liberties with the story and characterizations here. I mean they'd have to in order to squeeze a story that vast into what'll likely be about 70 minutes.

Here's hoping it's at least as cohesive as the VERY condensed New Frontier was. Still, it's nice to see The Flash take center stage in the story, even Justice League gets top billing again. And visually, it looks great. I'll absolutely be checking this out.

It looks nothing like the book and the animation/character designs look off... But hopefully it can be awesome.
Another thing though why is Cyborg in this???

It's a bit steep to call flashpoint critically praised

I dunno. I'm skeptical of this one. The voice acting, dialogue, and animation looked pretty corny from that trailer.

But DC Animated rarely fails (even First Flight was better then pretty much every Marvel Animated movie) so given their track record I'm sure this will be fine.

I'm a Marvel fan and the last animated movie I bought was Ultimate Avengers. I need to get Ultimate Avengers 2, Doctor Strange and Batman: Under the Red Hood. I'm definitely making, Flashpoint my next DVD buy. If this movie works as well as 2009's Wonder Woman movie. I'll have no doubt that Flash and Wonder Woman should be the next movies in the DC Cinematic Universe

I encourage anyone to read some of the flashpoint stories before watching this movie, because it is kick ass. There are some DC stories that are needed to be read before being watched on screen.

i think its going to be great but the trailer was terrible, the editing was off and they didnt match the voices with the animation too well. I loved the Flashpoint series though. I know they cant do all of it, but no need. All you really need is the main Flashpoint story. Its easy to adapt.

druzod2501 - 5/23/2013, 9:52 PM
Let's see if Flashpoint the movie is as good as Flashpoint the series. YEAH @Malatrova I [frick]ING SAID IT FLASHPOINT WAS AWESOME [frick] YOU!!!!
KingSilence
KingSilence - 5/23/2013, 9:57 PM
I love the FLASHPOINT story, but what is up with these ridiculous character bodies? Why do they have Flash looking like a body builder? Again, the studio treats the audience like we are idiots.
Action

Finally we get to see flash's electricity fly from his body in animation. Has anyone noticed no animation has shown electricity except in the comic books?
