WonderCon '13: JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Adaptation Update From Guillermo del Toro
Guillermo del Toro updates the Justice League Dark adaptation once titled Heaven Sent now going by Dark Universe at WonderCon 2013. The director says John Constantine will be the lead character.
-Constantine will be the lead character in Dark Universe.
-Yes, he will be blond.
-Swamp Thing will have found peace.
-Deadman will be searching for the man who shot him.
-del Toro is looking to DC comic books Demon Knights and Merlin.
-Jason Blood (Etrigan the Demon) will be a knight of Camelot.
-del Toro has written the writer's bible for the film but not the script.
-He'll be focusing on Crimson Peak first then Dark Universe.
Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of DC Comics' Justice League Dark was first revealed back in November by Latino Review. Del Toro has admitted that he's currently in talks with an as-yet-unnamed screenwriter to pen the script but the deal hasn't closed yet and that the film, technically hasn't received the green light from Warner Bros...yet. Del Toro has previously confirmed that we'll be seeing the likes of Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Deadman, Etrigan, Specter, Zatana and Zatara in the film while Sargon the Great and Phantom Stranger have also been mentioned in various reports.
