-Constantine will be the lead character in Dark Universe.
-Yes, he will be blond.
-Swamp Thing will have found peace.
-Deadman will be searching for the man who shot him.
-del Toro is looking to DC comic books Demon Knights and Merlin.
-Jason Blood (Etrigan the Demon) will be a knight of Camelot.
-del Toro has written the writer's bible for the film but not the script.
-He'll be focusing on Crimson Peak first then Dark Universe.

Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of DC Comics' Justice League Dark was first revealed back in November by Latino Review. Del Toro has admitted that he's currently in talks with an as-yet-unnamed screenwriter to pen the script but the deal hasn't closed yet and that the film, technically hasn't received the green light from Warner Bros...yet. Del Toro has previously confirmed that we'll be seeing the likes of Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Deadman, Etrigan, Specter, Zatana and Zatara in the film while Sargon the Great and Phantom Stranger have also been mentioned in various reports.

He seems really passionate about this and I really hope it comes to fruition. I can't wait to see Zatanna and Etrigan most of all.

[frick] JLA I'd rather see this, and what better way for WB to differentiate there superhero mash-up by going in totally different direction rather just being "dark" and "gritty" the JLA. Paul Bettany for Constantine FTW. Although I have to agree with the amount of shit Del Toro has on his schedule we probably won't get this until 2073 plus kind of financial risk and we know studios hate taking risks. Especially after the financial flop that was Green Lantern.

Gullermo Del Toro is a great guy but sometimes jumps the gun on his announcements. His films are terrific though and I would love to see this one day

Whiles its cool to have those guys in a team, its not cool to call them JL Dark. Thats as cornball as Baywatch Nights.

Surely someone at DC can think of better names than that.

Constaintine, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Spectre, Swamp Thing are who I'm most excited about. Let's throw in the question (maybe pandora?)
I may be more excited about this than regular JLA

While I do like Del Toro and I like the idea of this movie, I have no faith in him. He makes too many announcements and then takes forever on getting them done. He's like a teenage girl that can't make up her mind. Heck, I'm still waiting for his Haunted Mansion reboot.

Very odd that those characters would get a film but perhaps WB wants to go non-superhero but still use comic related content.

Use only Constantine,Etrigan,Swamp Thing & Zatanna so they get fair screen time.
Sequel can use Deadman,The Specter & Blue Devil perhaps..only wish it was original version & not New 52 one.

Del Toro is a perfect fit for the project, hope it happens.

Now this is something I like the idea of. I still think DC shouldn't bother with the Justice League for a while, but I can totally get behind this Justice League Dark adaptation. Like a darker, more supernatural oriented team... could be something special, and seems small scale enough that it'll be made in the mind-set of less than a blockbuster, more of a well written story.

What an Aussie playing Constantine [frick] no thats like having an Brit play Cap. BLASPHEMY!! I'm joking I like the idea of Guy Pearce as Constantine I can get behind personal choice is Paul Bettany with out a doubt. He better sound like a scouse I don't care how hard it is for the rest of the world to understand but he better have that accent, I don't want him sounding like Ed Millaband or David Cameron(posh wankers)

I don't think any ones confirmed that the title of the movie is Justice League Dark, hell the movie doesn't even have a script yet.

For the record, Justice League Dark is the name of the DC Comic book where all these characters team up, hence the term "Justice League Dark adaptation". The working title is "Dark Universe" as specified in the article.

Jude Law as Constantine and John Slattery as the Phantom Stranger. Cast someone like Monica Belluci as Pandora. I can see Jason Isaacs as Jason Blood, Rachel Weisz for Zatanna, and Luke Goss or Doug Jones for Deadman.
