Zack Snyder decided to walk away from Justice League after the tragic death of his daughter and passed directing duties over to Joss Whedon - who had already penned scenes which were scheduled to be filmed during reshoot - shortly after. Now, the filmmaker has talked more about his decision to walk away from the DC Comics adaptation and revealed why he's chosen not to get involved since.

Revealed that he feels it would be "unfair in a lot of ways" to get involved after being away from the project for such a lengthy amount of time, Snyder said he has faith in Whedon to deliver the goods.

"I’m at a place where I feel excited about it and I’m happy for my guys and I love these people that are working on it, and they’re my family and I think they’re doing an amazing job," Snyder said. "But I’ve kind of just let them do their thing." Whedon has made an awful lot of changes to Justice League, including hiring a new composer and reportedly changing the ending so it's easy to understand this.

There's no denying that it's a shame Snyder had to walk away from Justice League and many fans believe there's still more to this story than meets the eye but we'll see the finished result in November.

Say what you like about his films, but he is decent guy.

Hope he directs something good again.

@KingCipher - No one ever said he is a bad person. If anything everyone who worked with him had repeated that.

His ability to direct actors and create coherent narratives is critisized as they are constant flaws he can't overcome.

Just because he is a nice person, it doesn't mean that people who have spent money to see his films and end up disappointed don't have the right to point out his flaws.

As long as we get at least a semi-decent film, I'm not bothered who gets director/co-director credit.

I think I stand in the minority when I saw that he's the absolute best out there. The level of detail and thought that is put into his work is unmatched. The man has given us the best comic adaptation to date ( If you're an actual reader of comics ) Zack's Superman is not YET the one many of you feel he should be due to simple character progression. The current state of Superman is on pace to where he would be should this world existed with ours. There's so many of the population who can't manage to love one another much less an alien. It was said from the beginning that Supes would progress and learn to bear the weight of the world a few films in.
As a fellow artist I'm a fan of the realism of Zack's DCs tone and style.

I'm ready for the League and also very HOPEful he remains a strong presence within the DCEU.. Man of Steel 2 Please !!

"many fans believe there's still more to this story than meets the eye"
I hope not.
Because that would mean a father and a film studio are using a death as coverage and If that is the case...

@IronGenesis - ya that line at the end of the article bothered me also...almost like, he's being a professional and we respect that but let's stir the pot and try and start drama in the comment section

Lets be honest his a great guy and his visual look really cool but his story telling needs work.

"Just like we have co-workers who are nice people are really cool but wholly shit they got shitty work ethics."
