Vertical Entertainment has today shared the first trailer and poster for new psychological thriller, Every Breath You Take. Set for release in select theaters and on Premium VOD on April 2nd, 2021, the movie is directed by Vaughn Stein (Terminal) from a screenplay by David K. Murray.

Every Breath You Take is described as, "a searing psychological thriller about a psychiatrist (Casey Affleck), whose career is thrown into jeopardy when his patient takes her own life. When he invites his patient’s surviving brother (Sam Claflin) into his home to meet his wife (Michelle Monaghan) and daughter, his family life is suddenly torn apart."

The movie also stars Veronica Ferres and India Eisley, and based on what we see in this first look, it should be well worth checking out when it arrives in theaters shortly after Godzilla vs. Kong

Thanks to COVID, we've been able to put the spotlight on movies that might otherwise get lost in the shuffle, and with a cast as good as Every Breath You Take's, it would be a real shame for this to be overlooked. Casey Affleck remains one of the most underrated talents working today, and while we've seen him in a few blockbusters, he's yet to follow in his brother Ben's footsteps to play a superhero.

The trailer seems rather spoilery, and the movie not exactly shockingly original. Solid cast, though. Also interesting to see Veronica Ferres in this. It's always extremely weird to me to see German actors in international movies, one of the only exceptions being Daniel Brühl.

Most of all, I guess, this makes me wanna rewatch The Guest. Well, this and my current Downton Abbey rewatch.

On that note: Dan Stevens as John Constantine, and Jessica Brown Findlay as Zatanna.

Why is this an article on CBM? Not CBM related or am I missing something?

Way too spoiler filled for a trailer and how did this not use "Every Breath You Take" by The Police?

@Kumkani - Or at least a slow, somber version of the song.
