Everything Wrong With V FOR VENDETTA Is Inexplicably 18 Minutes Long

In an alternate future where Germany won World War II and Great Britain is now a fascist state, a masked vigilante known only as "V" conducts guerrilla warfare against the oppressive British government. When "V" rescues a young woman from the secret police, he finds in her an ally and a protégé with whom he can continue his fight to free the people of Britain. Starring Academy Award-nominees and Golden Globe-winners Natalie Portman ("Closer," "Star Wars" episodes 1-3) and John Hurt ("Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Hellboy"), Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominee Stephen Rea ("Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles," "The Crying Game") and Hugo Weaving ("The Matrix" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy). Written and produced by the Wachowski brothers, creators of "The Matrix" trilogy.

You know, people always bitch about the dominoes scene, but it's one of the few "hero sets up elaborate version of his symbol" stunts that actually makes sense.

They guy was hiding underground for an entire year... No job, he goes out something like 6 or so times over the entire course of the film. I'm thinking he had plenty of free time to kill. So, one day he set up a ton of dominoes in his hidden lair... what's so unbelievable about that? You can bitch that he wears his full outfit while doing so, but otherwise... he's just a bored guy waiting. Why attack him for having a hobby?

If this guy thought v was intended as hero, we cannot be sure he has actually seen the movie. The movie was more positive about V than the graphic novel, but the movie is intended to have an easy answer about who is good and who is evil.

Further, he missed the most obviously stupid thing about the villain. Someone threatens to blow up parliament on Faux day, so naturally the villain takes percussion against an attack from above or from any side of parliament neglecting the possibility of an attack from below.

Poking fun at the rhyme scheme is not a very well thought out attack on the movies logic.

The book V for Vendetta to me is even better than Watchmen (I actually love all of the Moore's work), the movie was amazing even when it was different.
