I make several New Year's resolutions every year. Although a few don't always stick, I can honestly say that I keep most of the ones I make in the long run. This being my first year actually contributing articles and comments to this site, I figure it's a good idea to add a few resolutions directly related it. Forgive me for the lack of graphics and boob pics, I submitted this from my phone. Here they are:
1) I will keep a more open mind in regards to upcoming comic movies!
I have spent too much time nit picking little issues I have with movies like Spider-Man and Hulk (2003) instead of being grateful for them. For now on, as long as a comic movie doesn’t completely destroy a character or rewrite the source material, I will do my best to appreciate that I get to see three or four of these flicks every year.
2) I will do my best to make ComicBookMovie.com just as, if not more, popular than all the other mainstream movie sites out there!
We have members with drive and determination, a forum for us to discuss our opinions or debate casting choices and an Editor-in-Chief (The mighty Galactus) that gives us the opportunity to share our ideas in fully published articles. I know there isn’t a better comic movie news site out there. I will do everything I can to make sure 2010 is the year that CBM.com becomes as commonly known as IGN or MTV Splashpage.
3) I will check and respond to every CBM related email I get as soon as possible!
I’ve dropped the ball plenty of times responding to emails from CBM users. I guess in the past I’ve been too busy to answer every email in a timely manner. For those of you guys who take the time to write to me, I promise to make the best effort to respond back ASAP.
4) I will be more respectful to fellow CBM members and their opinions!
Sure my opinions don’t often match up with a lot of people on here, but that doesn’t mean either side is right or wrong. I’m going to try to enter every article, editorial and debate with an eagerness to absorb other people’s ideas and not immediately try to negate them. It’s easy to get into the mentality that we are just conversing with a username and avatar; but we mustn’t forget the person behind the comments (Except for LEEE777. . . I’m pretty sure he’s really a computer that’s gained artificial intelligence).
A Happy New Year to you all! I'm looking forward to another great year with you at ComicBookMovie.com!
