A week ago the first image was released of the new Iron Man armor and when the February issue of Previews gets released it will have an even better pic of Iron Man's new armor featured in April's "Invincible Iron Man" #25.



Is it a hit? Or is it a bust? What do you think?

I kinda dig it, very polished, and this one actually seems like it was tailored to Stark (not that the others weren't custom fitted to him, but that this one actually *looks* the part).


Of course, I'm also digging DeathWalkers' icon...me likey-likey...a lot!

Maybe it's the lighting but, the gold looks a bit silverish. Other than that, once I get used to it, it won't feel that different.

I don't know Sora I kind of like the new look. They've lost some of the bulk and heaviness that the armor has seemed to have the last few years, he is more streamlined again, the suit is more anatomical and naturalistic to the human form less like full on armor. I missed the yellow since they had toned it back alot, this gives it back a little, odd placements for some of it, but I dig it.

@ Neroesday and Sora: I like it. It's a heck of a lot better than some others he's had. Remember the uber stupid Prometheum armor from Heroes Reborn with the smoke stacks sticking out the back like a tractor trailer?

Or how about the uber stupid Ultimate Iron Man armor with the hideously clashing gray bits which they did arbitrarily for the mere sake of making it look different from the classic.

This is definitely better than THAT.

i actually liked the skin armor. maybe it was a combination of yhe artist and the armor but it was really wild and i dont really like the anime style all that much. the armor he used when tony went all kang and murderous was kinda nice too, had a real evil knight type thing going for it.

sorry to go on and on but i just discovered the worst armor of all...the ablative armor. he kinda looked like abug or something. really really bad. how about we call the new armor the tron armor?

Yeah I like this new look alot... it has homage to the original but it still looks new all at the same time...

I especially like the little light holes all around it!
