Hey gang thanks for reading. I've put together my favorite list of 3D movies I would like to see. Nothing converted, nothing animated, and not all of them are CBM's, which is hard to come by nowadays.

THE GREAT GATSBY

Unlike the usual Sci-fi, horror, or superhero 3D feature film. The Great Gatsby is an adaptation of a Drama/Romance/Tragedy. I'm very interested in seeing how the visuals for this will look without the shattering glass, bullets or knives coming out of the screen, also being a movie directed by Baz Luhrmann, who' already directed Leonardo Dicaprio in Romeoo & Juliet. I have a feeling critics will claim this to be something in between Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, and Martin Scorcese's Hugo, which will be a very good thing.

#4
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

Being one of the most anticipated movies of 2012 doesn't hurt to make this list. However, also being the first of the series to be filmed in 3D makes it even more exciting. What makes The Hobbit so great is it looks and feels just like LOTR which brought an epic feeling to movies that seems to be missing with many new sci-fi movies. I'm hoping that being filmed in 3D doesn't kill the quality.

PROMETHEUS

A lot of hype has stirred interest in this next Ridley Scott film. Thought to be the prequel to Alien, it turns out Prometheus will only have a small but significant connection to the franchise. Although this may be a let down for most fans expecting a direct prequel to the classic Alien films. What peaks my interest is Idris Elba who did a great job over the past summer with Thor, and Michael Fassbender's performance from X-Men First Class.

THE MEN IN BLACK 3

Men In Black III has a promising looking trailer. When first hearing of news about a Men In Black 3D it almost felt forced; however, when recent photo's arrived online of Josh Brolin looking just like a younger agent K my anticipation rose much higher. What scares me is that the second movie was a fun flick, but it felt it could have been much better. Although Will Smith has already begun his promoting to make 3D look good, I'm sure most Fan boy's are looking forward to seeing the beautiful Alice Eve as young agent O.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Photobucket

Sure it didn't surprise many of you. I have always believed Spider-Man has the perfect look for a 3D film. Often fantasizing what his web slinging over New York would look like or how the director would display the web coming out the screen at the audience. I had been so close with Sam Raimi's version but yet no 3D. Now years later and witnessing the trailer for Marc Webbs new vision. It feels like someone seems to truly understand how to adapt 3D to screen. He's taken the 3D camera angles to a whole new level, by having the audience experience most of the action through the eyes of the web head himself. One major quality which I have noticed is that "The Amazing Spider-Man" looks similar to that of Universal and Disney theme park movie rides all we need now in major theaters are the motorized seats.

I hope everyone enjoyed the post.

Yup. TASM is the only one for me that I'll be seeing in 3D. Some people can complain all they want about the POV shot and say it looks like crap and looks like a game more than real life, which honestly I don't know what the hell they're seeing because to me it looks great.

People are so damn nit-picky nowadays they focus more on critiquing a movie instead of just sitting there and enjoying the freaking thing. What could be a cooler experience than swinging through New York City as Spider-man? Bring on The Amazing Spider-man! My most anticipated movie of 2012.

I think whenever it comes out on DVD and Blu-ray there will be 2 versions of the movie on the disc. One will be the theatrical version with the POV shots. Two will be a standard version of shots of Spider-man from the outside during a scene that would be a POV shot. Like on Green Lantern: Extended Edition there was the Theatrical version and the Extended version. But I could be wrong.

"What could be a cooler experience than swinging through New York City as Spider-man?"

Dodging random sprays of projectile vomit in a 3D IMAX theatre audience, slo-mo Snyder-style.
