Jason Clarke Briefly Comments On DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES
While refusing to give away any details about his character, Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke gives an intriguing hint about his starring role in the highly anticipated sequel Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes.
On the Oscars red carpet, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) talked briefly with MTV about a couple of his upcoming projects, including Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. He will be playing the lead role in the Matt Reeves-directed sequel. While he understandably wouldn't give any details concerning his character, but he does offer an interesting hint at what to expect. "I play a guy who's trying to save humanity." It was previously stated that the film takes place 15 years after 2011's Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, and one of the focuses will be on a group of scientists who are struggling in San Diego. Judging from Clarke's comment, we can certainly expect him to be one of these scientists.
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is set to hit theaters May 23rd, 2014.
