Disney has updated its schedule through the next couple years or so. You can check the article above for info on when two Marvel Studios films will hit theaters, but we now have two new pieces of info for a couple of the studio's 2014 offerings. First, a new title for the anticipated sequel to The Muppets has been revealed: Muppets Most Wanted. The Europe-set caper, which stars Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey, was previously titled The Muppets... Again!. The film, which is currently in production, is still on course to hit theaters March 21st, 2014.

In other news, Disney has set a new release date for director Brad Bird's next film, Tomorrowland. Starring George Clooney and Hugh Laurie, the mysterious sci-fi project is now scheduled for a December 12th, 2014 theatrical debut. The movie was originally slated for December 19th. Production is expected to begin later this summer. Are you looking forward to Tomorrowland and/or Muppets Most Wanted?

As much as I dislike Lindelof's writing, I can't help but be excited for Tomorrowland.

Why do we cover muppets? I honestly don't care, but I would still love to know why...

I can't be the only one who thinks Ricky Gervais is an unfunny piece of shit.

@koolaidbag - they do this a lot. And then someone like GamerKT comes in and posts a link to a comic based on a particular property that did not originate as one.

YES The Muppets have had a comic based on them. NO that does not make it a comic book movie. Same goes for G.I. Joe and a ton of other stuff that's featured here. It's not a justification, it's a technicality.

Just say that you also cover stuff that has crossover appeal with comic book fans. That's totally fine. But posting links to obscure comics that clearly have zero influence on film adaptations is pretty silly.

@ Gotham:
With all respect, while you are correct about the Muppets not having their origin in comic books; "GI JOE", just like, "The Transformers", was conceived of, and released, simultaneously as a comic book, a cartoon, and a toy line.
The comic had/has a tone of it's own, has fans who aren't/weren't into the cartoon, and has individual stories (and characters) not associated with the cartoon( "GI Joe" Colton for example, started in the comics).

I've always considered this more of a POP-CULTURE site, anyway. I enjoy the variety.
