Actor Tom Cruise recently wrapped production on
Oblivion, a science fiction epic based on the graphic novel by Joseph Kosinski (director of
TRON: Legacy), who's also helming the movie. The film (Which also stars Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo) was originally slated for a July 10th, 2013; however, Universal Pictures then moved the project to an April 26th release after slating
Jurassic Park 3D for a July release. Now,
Variety's Jeff Sneider reports that Universal has set yet another release date for
Oblivion. The sci-fi film is now slated for
April 19th, 2013, a week earlier than the April 26th date. Additionally, Sneider reveals that the movie will see an "IMAX Exclusive" a week before the primary theatrical version arrives.
