Though not officially released just yet, Youtuber SGTBizarro has isolated the score from the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, compensating for the volume dips for dialogue etc, and the result is pretty damn impressive. So turn your speakers up and enjoy a stunning mixture of some of John Williams' classic Star wars themes, with some rousing tweaks here and there.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters December 18, 2015. The new movie is directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, and features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. The film is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk, and John Williams returns as the composer. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is Episode VII in the Star Wars Saga.

John Williams is still the king of movie scores, after all this time.

Oh yeah! <3

Along with Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore my favorite composer ever. He is like a god to me.

John Williams' music was awesome throughout all the films. Even the prequels got great music. His is the only true unbroken vision in the whole saga.

I would happily pay $15 for two hours of new John Williams Star Wars music. The movie is like a bonus. Okay, that's a slight exaggeration.

It's perfect. It feels like a grown up version of the OT. Absolutely LOVE the heavy handed, harsh drums in the background...

I agree, this music FEELS like Star Wars. I won't bash the Prequals because it has it's fans and I don't want to be rude, but even though Williams was present for that as well it never felt like classic Star Wars music to me.

Even though it's based on John Williams originals scores, it's not Williams who scored this trailer.

Though I don't like the overused piano and the drum, it's still good.

@SuperCat

I just watched that video of that priest reacting to the trailer. As someone who doesn't like Star Wars even I have to admit his reaction is pretty cool.

I don't think there's anything in this world other than money that can get my cold, dead heart that excited.

Yeah, I love "Star Wars" but his reaction was a bit much.

I honestly don't believe it's John Williams. It has to be a ghost writer/composer. Most likely Michael Michael Giacchino. The lack of woodwinds is a dead giveaway.

Additional cues by Fredrick Lloyd. I hate when they do this. Lets make the trailer music 10x more pump than the music you'll actually get. The music will be amazing, but its sad that we will most likely never get an un-edited, official version of this song. Just imagine if luke would've made his first appearance out of nowhere into a duel with Ren with that force theme pumping. No we know we'll never hear this song again.

They did the same thing in return of the king. The trailer music includes the gondor theme, but then the best part is actually an additional cue that never shows up during the movie.

HAHAHA. I want what you're smoking!!

Duel of Fates is GLORIOUS and arguably the best part of Phantom Menace.

Doesn't feel like Star Wars my ass! hahahha

The piano reminds me of the third trailer for TDKR.

BTW, say what you want about the prequels, but the music was [frick]ing amazing. On par, if not better than the original scores.
