The LEGO Batman Movie

Opening Weekend: $75 million
Domestic: $280 million
Worldwide: $600 million
Reason:
This movie literally has no competition for an entire month. There seems to be quite some buzz for the animated flick. It also stars Batman and the rest of the Justice League. There seems to be no negatives about this movie. Getting to $300 million domestic should be no problem for the caped crusader. Unlike the live action version, this movie seems to get their characters right.

Logan

Opening Weekend: $90 million
Domestic: $250 million
Worldwide: $550 million
Reason:
The teaser trailer has received so much buzz and acclaim. No doubt that even those unfamiliar with the X-Men or Wolverine will have a slight interest in this movie. It actually looks pretty good and if it turns out to be as good as it looks, I see no reason why it wouldn't open big and have great legs. And it happens to be Hugh Jackman's last flick as Wolverine. Hopefully Fox keeps up the great marketing.

Beauty and the Beast

Opening Weekend: $165 million
Domestic: $500 million
Worldwide: $1.2 billion
Reason:
This movie is going to be BIG. It has broken records for most watched teaser and most watched trailer. And it is an adaptation of one perhaps the most beloved Disney animated film ever. And it stars Emma Watson, who is the star of her generation. It looks like a great movie and looks to receive great reception. Don't underestimate this movie.

The Fate of the Furious

Opening Weekend: $125 million
Domestic: $300 million
Worldwide: $1.15 billion
Reason:
This is the sequel to one of the biggest movies of all time. It's gonna be big too, but obviously not as big. Paul Walker's death was a major factor to why Furious 7 was so huge. There is no more novelty effect anymore. However, China's box office gross should still push this sequel over $1 billion since April has little competition until May. Speaking of May...

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Opening Weekend: $160 million
Domestic: $430 million
Worldwide: $1.1 billion
Reason:
This is the sequel to Marvel's most beloved movie. The trailer has already generated lotts of buzz and hype. Two words: Baby Groot. I have a feeling Baby Groot will make lots of people wanna watch this movie. And May doesn't offer much competition in its first three weeks. All seems good for this line-up of A holes.

Wonder Woman

Opening Weekend: $130 million
Domestic: $300 million
Worldwide: $650 million
Reason:
This is the first female-led comic book movie in history. Women everywhere have been looking foward to this day for decades. Finally a Wonder Woman movie is happening! That should result in a pretty good box office run. Unfortunately Warner Bros picked the worst possible release date ever since there are so many other blockbuster coming out around the same time.

Spider-Man Homecoming

Opening Weekend: $140 million
Domestic: $350 million
Worldwide: $1 billion
Reason:
Spider-Man was the real MVP of Captain America: Civil War. Tom Holland was very well received by fans everywhere. People are excited now that Spidey is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And perhaps the most important reason: Robert Downey Jr AKA Tony Stark AKA Iron Man. The trailer made it clear that Iron Man will play a role in this movie and Iron Man puts butts in seats.

Thor: Ragnarok

Opening Weekend: $110 million
Domestic: $250 million
Worldwide: $800 million
Reason:
Thor has never really been big at the box office, but a new direction and the addition of the Hulk will change things quite a bit. I have faith in this movie and think it will do much better than Thor: The Dark World. Unfortunately it only has two weeks to make as much money as it possibly can since another big comic book movie will be released.

Justice League

Opening Weekend: $170 million
Domestic: $320 million
Worldwide: $850 million
Reason:
Even though Batman v Superman was a flop, there is no denying that this movie will open huge. With that being said, I have no faith in this Zack Snyder joint at all and expect it to have terrible word of mouth and drop like a rock on its second weekend and so on. Not to mention that another HUGE movie comes out a few weeks later...

Star Wars: Episode VIII

Opening Weekend: $230 million
Domestic: $850 million
Worldwide: $1.8 billion
Reason:
Come on? Really? Y'all need me to explain why this will be the biggest movie of 2017 and crush everything else? It's Star Wars! And it's the sequel to the BIGGEST movie of ALL TIME. A drop from The Force Awakens is expected since there is always a drop from the first film of a Star Wars trilogy to the second one. However I don't think the drop will be that severe since The Force Awakens was so well loved and ended on a huge cliff hanger. Star Wars!

Sound off below! How do YOU think these movies will perform at the box office! Sound off below and don't forget to give the thumbs up! ;)

I don't know if Beauty and the Beast will crack $1 billion like you say it will, but I'm rooting for it regardless. It's got a great cast, the sets and costumes look dead-on, and the director has a solid record (if you excuse the last two Twilight movies).

I agree with most everything you said, I bet my friend $20 that GOTG would do better than Justice League and $20 Homecoming would do better than Wonder Women. Last year I bet him $20 Civil War would do better than DOJ, I feel pretty confident in this years picks.

I wonder if Episode 8 will have a Paul Walker/Heath Ledgar effect with Carrie Fisher passing, if it does then it could possibly pass Episode 7 and Titanic.

@TheNewGuy123 - Yea and what about Transformers, I absolutely hated the last one but they do make bank at the box office.

These estimates seem fairly reasonable enough.
