A lot of fans found fault with Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Mark Hamill hasn't shied away from making his feelings clear about the movie since it was released either. While he's never outright slated it, the actor clearly isn't happy with some of Rian Johnson's creative decisions and in a recent interview with IGN about the sequel's deleted scenes, Hamill didn't hesitate to take aim at one of them in particular.
That's a sequence revolving around Luke learning that Han Solo is dead in which he retreats into his hut and mourns his old friend. Needless to say, Hamill's not keen on that being shelved in preference of a scene revolving around him milking an alien and then drinking the milk immediately afterwards.
"Yes, of course because it shows Luke was putting on a facade in front of Rey and even Chewie, that he was embittered and sort of a broken man," Hamill said. "And I think the fact that he could let his emotions out when he was by himself would have made an impact on the audience because it allowed them to grieve the loss of Han Solo just the way Luke felt it.
"But that always happens in films. You say, 'Oh, what about this scene where this happens or that happens?" because you want to give the fullest experience that you can. And like you say, it was brief enough that I was -- [chuckles] They had time for me to milk that big alien but to show any human emotion? Nah, we don't have time for that. But again it's not my call."
Ouch! The Honest Trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has also been released and it probably won't surprise you to learn that the Screen Junkies team have found fault with a lot of the same things fans were complaining about last December. It's a fun watch and should definitely give you a good laugh...
