SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Stills Include Intriguing Iron Man And THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Easter Eggs

Those new No Way Home stills have spawned another round of fan theories, including an intriguing link to The Amazing Spider-Man franchise and an unexpected connection between Doc Ock and Iron Man.

Fans are so desperate for the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer that they've resorted to disliking everything Sony Pictures posts on YouTube in their masses. We're pretty sure that won't actually work, but the new stills released this week have given us plenty to talk about until that sneak peek swings online.

Anxious to know more about the movie, fans have started dissecting those images and come to some very interesting conclusions. Take that shot of the MCU's Peter Parker in what appears to be the depths of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum, for example. As you can see, the setting behind him appears to be the basement in Peter Parker's Forest Hills home in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. Could that actually be a portal of some sort to a different reality?

It's hard to deny the similarities based on the images below, and this would certainly be an intriguing twist.

Yesterday, we pointed out a change to Doctor Octopus' tentacles in that they now appear to be boasting a red and gold colour scheme. What we didn't consider, however, was that it's because Doc Ock has somehow enhanced them with Stark-tech. Given the setting below, we'd be willing to put money on the villain somehow stealing the Iron Spider suit to upgrade his extra arms.

Both are compelling theories, and if correct, they prove that there's still a lot we don't know about Spider-Man: No Way Home (even after another round of supposed plot leaks).

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be released exclusively in theaters on December 17!

Sony unveils a photo from the new Spider-Man movie. There’s a guy in the background wearing a red shirt.

Spider-Man fan who needs a hobby: “Oh my god! There was a guy in a red shirt in one of the Raimi movies! Crossover confirmed!”

"Anxious to know more about the movie, fans have started dissecting those images......."

1. Every time I think I'm a huge MCU fan I see a post on Twitter or Reddit like that and I remember I'm Tier 3 or 4 at best

2. I swear the fans who spend time on this don't realize that they could probably be set for life doing forensics or some kind of detective work.

@Waddles - LOL good point, although I've worked with IT people at enough hospitals to know that there are definitely careers to be had that require attention to detail even if someone has zero interest in developing social skills.

Guess the Parker residence must've shape-shift. Because those stairs are not in the same place they should be.

What I'm saying is that this is a stretch.

They need to commit…Don’t release the Tobey and Andrew connection to the movie until people are in their seats in the theater ready to watch the move…I’d even go further and say DON’T release a second trailer at all…We’re about a month and half out now anyway…

An MCU Spider Man movie will sell tickets regardless…Tickets are already sold as is…

@vegetaray - but watching the trailer on YouTube generates money for Marvel/Disney. That’s why every new trailer (besides Eternals) is ALWAYS “the most watched” trailer to date.

"Rumors are fun, because many of them are true, and many of them are not true. The danger is when you get into the expectations game of wanting people to be excited about the movie they get, and not disappointed about a movie they don't get."

Kevin Feige told Empire, about possibly seeing Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire

@Doomsday8888 - honestly, I'd even take Spiderman becoming Dr strange Jr. at this point. It's dumb as well, but at least we'd be ditching the stark stuff.

Wild theories seem like the norm for most MCU projects nowadays.
