IS THIS THE FINAL FORM OF THE LIZARD
These are reportedly leaks from the exclusive footage shown at this years San Diego Comic-Con. Surprisingly, the footage never leaked on the internet so this one remains a possibility rather than a fact...for now.

THIS IS AT LEAST ONE FORM OF THE LIZARD
It's been confirmed repeatedly through the film's toyline that the Lizard will look like the below concept art at some point during the film. As mentioned above, the burning question now is whether Doc Conners will undergo a final transformation to a more "snouty" version.

NO DAILY BUGLE IN THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
Director Marc Webb confirmed in an interview with Empire that the movie firmly centers on Peter's high school years and will not step inside the doors of The Daily Bugle. However, Webb does say that the newspaper will at least be mentioned.

TO BE PROTO-GOBLIN OR NOT TO BE....
Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan was originally slated to play a character named Van Atter, who many took to be a different take on Van Adder who is known in the comic book world as Proto-Goblin. However, recently Sony has unveiled on the official website that Khan will now play a character titled Dr. Ratha. Is Proto-Goblin being cut from the movie during the recent re-shoots or were fans simply reaching with this one?

SPIDER-MAN WILL STILL BE AN UNHERALDED HERO
In Raimi's Spider-Man movies, by the end of the trilogy Spider-Man was a pretty popular, well-liked hero in NYC. Look's like Webb is taking the ol' web-head back to his unpopular hero roots.

DUNST AND MAGUIRE WANTED CAMEOS BUT SONY SAID NO THANK YOU
The quirky beauty, Kirsten Dunst stated that both she and Tobey Maguire had hoped to make a cameo in Sony's reboot of the Spider-Man franchise but the top Execs at Sony were having none of it.

SPEAKING OF DUNST, NO UPSIDE-DOWN KISS FOR GWEN
Emma Stone revealed that you'll be disappointed if you expect to see a reenactment of the famous kiss from Raimi's Spider-Man franchise. Said Stone, "Why would we do an upside-down kiss? I’m not Mary Jane. I’m Gwen Stacy in the Spider-Man film. New girl. New kiss,” said Stone, adding, “I wanted to do different kisses to make our mark.”

THE FILM'S CLIMACTIC BATTLE PITS SPIDEY AGAINST A LIZARD ARMY

Another rumor confirmed by the film's toyline reveals that in the climatic showdown with the Lizard, Spidey will be forced to go through an entire SWAT team that's been transformed into Lizard Men before getting to the topdog..er.. Lizard himself.

RHYS IFANS DEBUTS HIS LIZARD VOICE
Josh Horowitz looks like he's about to crap his pants.

WEBSHOOTERS FTW!!!!!

WILL CHRISTOPHER WALTZ CAMEO AS NORMAN OSBORN
Potentially a huge goof by Sony's own Playstation Network, a download of the Amazing Spider-Man trailer listed Christopher Waltz as a member of the cast. It was rumored very early on in the production that Waltz was up for the role of a villain and many assumed that he was in talks for the Lizard but maybe we were mistaken all along? Was the whole thing simply a mistake by Sony or did they give away something big?

STAN LEE REVEALS HIS CAMEO

IS THIS GWEN ATTENDING CAPT. STACY'S FUNERAL?

Unfortunately, the Amazing Spider-Man has been in the shadows of The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises in terms of fan anticipation. However, many people believe that the film could be the dark horse of next summers superhero box office battle. Personally, I'm leaning towards the ladder as I think the film's production and cast interviews have a similar tone to what we saw when the Batman Begins reboot was announced. Regardless, we'll all see how this film turns out come July 3rd.
