Emma Stone Says The Amazing Spider-Man's Gwen Is Different To The Comics; Hints At Movie Footage At Comic-Con!
The actress describes her preparation for a "different" take on Gwen Stacy, while sharing her thoughts on the trailer and dropping hints of more footage being shown at SDCC '11...
"Not to freak anybody out, but she’s maybe a little bit different in the movie than she is in the comics, maybe," the actress told MTV News in a recent interview while promoting her latest movie, Crazy Stupid Love.
Stone then went on to describe just how much work she's put into her portrayal of Gwen, regardless of how "different" it may or may not end up being. "We were lucky we got to rehearse. Most of my scenes are with Andrew [Garfield], so Andrew and I would rehearse with Marc Webb the director a fair amount. I read a comprehensive book on the Stacys, and a few of the comics."
As for the trailer (a bootlegged version of which has already found its way online) and the possibility of new footage being shown at Comic-Con, she said: "I’ve seen the trailer, I thought it was pretty cool but maybe I’m a little bit biased, contractually. I’m pretty excited about it and I think they’re going to be showing a little footage from the movie at Comic-Con."
