SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Star Tom Holland Reveals Hopes For Miles Morales, Silk, And More In The MCU

Tom Holland continues to ponder the future of Peter Parker on the big screen, admitting that he'd like to see characters such as Miles Morales and Silk brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Until we see Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's impossible to predict what the future holds in store for Tom Holland's Spider-Man. There's a lot of speculation about what might be to come, including this iteration of the web-slinger being featured in both Marvel Studios and Sony movies moving forward.

Doing the rounds to promote the upcoming threequel, Holland was asked by ExtraTV about what comes next, and admitted, "I don’t know what the future of Spider-Man looks like."

"I don't know whether I’m going to be a part of it. Spider-Man will always live on in me, and I know that Amy and the studio are keen to figure out what the next chapter of Spider-Man looks like. If that happens to be with me, then that’s very exciting," Holland added, teasing his possible return to the role. "But, you know, if it's time for me to walk away, then I'll do so proudly. You know, Spider-Man can be more diverse, it could be a female character, it could be anything."

Addressing that potentially more diverse future for the webbed wonder, Holland named three specific characters he's hoping are brought to the big screen. "I'd like to see Miles [Morales], I'd like to see Silk," the actor admitted. "I think you could do a really cool Jackpot movie."

What's interesting about those remarks is that we know a Silk TV show is in development, while there have been rumblings about a Jackpot movie for some time now. As for Miles Morales, we'll next see him in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but fans have made it clear they want to see a live-action version of that hero in the MCU, especially after Spider-Man: Homecoming's big tease.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

I don't get the appeal of Silk...

It also legitimately irritates me that Araña gets almost zero play. Great original character design and I think she'd be a good counterpart to Miles Morales (Miles being the sneakier invisible dude with Anya being more of the bruiser with plate armor). I think they maybe screwed up when they originally made her powers magicky, instead of making her more of a Spidey-spin-off. The armor could have been symbiote-related, for example. Haven't followed the comics much since then, but last I saw she was pretty much a generic Spider-Girl that got immediately overshadowed by Spider-Gwen.

Anyway, I think those characters are all great (except Silk, who I don't get), but we've also got room for a lot more Tom Holland Spider-Man.

How about no? Miles for the animated films. They're doing a Silk tv series aren't they? And Jackpot?? Heck naw!!

Wasn't Cindy Moon already in Homecoming? Could just expand that character a little more.

Miles is inevitable and a no brainer

They need to do Miles + Gwen next right? Or are they leaving it to the animated movie? (which is great, and the second one seems to be at least just as good), but it's not live-action.

I’d rather we see Spider-Gwen personally. I think given that we already saw the classic Gwen storyline play out in TASM that means we probably won’t get it in the MCU so I’d rather they include her but pivot to the Spider-Gwen storyline. Hell with her and Miles I don’t even think they need to do it as a Spiderverse thing I think you could probably just do them both in universe similar to how the PS4 game dealt with Miles

Why do I get the feeling Tom is becoming a stooge for Sony? Jackpot? Really? Hmmm I wonder who owns Jackpot... And needs heroes to sustain their universe if they can't leech off the MCU...
