The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

This looks better and better but I get the feeling its gonna end up in 3rd place behhind TDKR and Avengers for the summer CBM title. I think they underestimate what they'd be up against this summer.

Blackandyellow, I believe that was Devin "I hate everything and everyone" Farcai that said that so I wouldn't pay too much attention. That being said, my expectations are pretty lowish anyway so I can only be pleasantly surprised!

If I remember correctly that guy was against the reboot the entire time.
So he might have seen it in a biased way, or maybe he lied and didn't see it at all.
There'd suppose to be some early screening the 18th so we'll probably get more reviews then, because I can't see how this guy could say that.
The acting looks great, it's like all of the actors have chemistry with each other.
The action looks looks amazing. The writing I'm not really worried about since this was written by Kloves. We'll just have to wait and see the reviews. I guarantee that this movie will be in the mid to upper 80s on rotten tomatoes, possibly even in the low 90s.

The thing is that i think that if a lonely kid got superpowers this is what would actually happen. And i like how we see more of peter in the process, the 1st raimi movie went to fast. First he gets his powers

@Just1Superguy: "pales in comparison to Spiderman 1 and 2." ??? Really?? I compared trailers for Spidey 1 and 2 cause well I won't compare this one to the full movie since I haven't saw TASM yet...and theres Amazing Spider-man...pile of crap and then there's Spidey 1 and 2...BTW I liked S1 and S2 so I think I will love this one.

this movie is gonna be aawesoomee.. 2007 was the last spidey film.. too bad it's been a long time. well, i guess its worth the wait.......TORRENT file.

I really like that last shot, but then something hit me, he is about to shoot webbing towards the camera, isn't he? I hope not, I am getting fed up with shots coming at the camera in 3D movies.

However could be wrong, overall I would say it is looking very good. The football scene where Peter throws the ball and bends the post was not the best, but most of the footage I have seen seems to suggest the movie is heading in the right direction.

Seriously though the Spiderman choreography is looking great, I remember when Garfield said he studied spiders I was like WTF, now I understand.

I think that the movie will b AMAZING no matter how lame most of the tv spots & track listings make it out 2 b. i think the preducers r just trying 2 make it look bad so that when people c the movie it will blow there frickin' minds, rather then making it look awsome and then everyone gets there hopes up, also i think there trying 2 base the advertising on fans reactions rather then spend millions on marteking
