The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

"I had the opportunity to pitch on the Amazing Spiderman trailer last year and it made it all the way through the animation stage. Sadly, it was not the only horse in the race and was passed on down the line. I did get a chance to develop how to attach the "web" and the shard together with spline dynamics and Xpresso. All the swinging and webs are completely controlled by dynamics. Good Times!"

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

It's pretty cool, but I also liked the one they used in the trailer. Either way, both are good.

What does pieces of cloth that looks like flags have anything to do with Spider-Man? If Spidey had a cape maybe I could relate to the flowing cape like flags on webbing, but to me it didn't feel like spidey. No sir, I don't like it.

If they are trying to get away from Sam Raimi's franchise they were wise not to use this. It's too similar to his.

That was better because the original felt too Transformersy to me...I dunno, it could've just been me! It was probably because of the colour choice.

@LOGANXX35 So you've seen it? I assume you must've obtained the film by some illegal means and as such, I'm afraid I'd have to report you to the FBI if you are telling the truth.

SORRY Uncle Ben, I forgot...

There is GREAT truth in honesty.

We live in such a cynical world, also what a competitive market to boot.

Uhh, if its in the Marvel universe, can characters swap powers possibly? You know so what is above could actually make sense, it is a cruel world a senseless one.

That was weird and terrible. Did not care for the spider-spooge at the end.
