VIDEO GAMES: Two New Gameplay Videos for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Web sling your way through this gameplay demo for The Amazing Spider-Man from E3 2012.


The first gameplay video here actually shows that the webs really don't connect to anything when you swing, however we also get a listen at Spider-Man's voice and it sounds nothing like Andrew Garfield.

How are you feeling about this game so far? I'm completely convinced. In this second video, the director confirms the Voice Actors are not from the movie. He also confirms that Lucha Libre is the inspiration for the combat and that they "touch upon it" within the movie.

Hmm, well, as the article said, this isn't the voice of Andrew Garfield. That's for sure. I can't quite tell, though, if it's voice actor, Josh Keaton. It does kind of sound like him, but can't quite tell. Anyhoo, there is no way on Earth that I'll pass this game up. No way! The web swinging in this game (despite the web line not connecting to any buildings) is smooth and crisp. From the videos it definitely makes you feel like you're Spidey. And the combat/web combat in this game is just amazing (no pun intended, of course). I really, really, REALLY want this game. BADLY!!! :D

Looks great. Definitely gonna pick this up. But there are still parts where it seems his webs aren't attaching to anything when swinging around lol.

don't like him smashing into the ground or just running on the building the second he hits it. Seems a little glitchy. And they tried to use the batman arkham fighting style with the dodge and stuff. But its not nearly as smooth.

After this I want a free roam Spidey game with the
cel shaded art style of the ultimate universe from shattered dimensions.

I'm just not a fan of the "real" look of the game.

the web attaches to buildings when possible but otherwise it is thin air for gameplay sake .. same with web of shadows. you wont be able to get above the tallest building and start web swinging

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone have already confirmed they are not doing any voice work for this game...it's a small insignificant part and won't queel my enjoyment...

Apparently Bruce Campbell is going to have a minor role though ;)

@Chloefornication agree, camera is way too close. Also the webs attaching to nothing is stupid. In the spiderman 3 game they made it so that your webs had to attach to something and it worked just fine.

That gameplay footage was awesome! I got a major Spider-Man 2 vibe from those videos.

Which is great, because the Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in game is my favorite Spider-Man game.

I think this will be just as good, if not better. And the fact that this is Beenox's biggest SM game yet, makes me that much more hopeful for TASM.

All of that^ is opinion.

And I'm still not seeing why people are so hung up on the webs not attaching...it is seriously not a big deal, or even a small deal for that matter. Of course, that IS just my opinion on it. It's not like it changes anything.

I'm gonna get mauled for this, but Spidey 2 was only great for its swinging mechanics. Both Spidey 2 and 3 were kind of weak everywhere else that mattered. I feel Beenox is just thinking of making a damn fine Spidey game, the likes of which we saw back on the PS1. They don't care about "realistic" webbing mechanics. :/

i just saw two handed web swinging i hope you can do that just like in sm2.
