Superman is going to learn from his mistakes in the next one. People who thought he would be the perfect golden god in his first outing were surely kidding themselves. Even the Greek Gods in mythology had to learn from their mistakes.

Great actor. And one of the best Supermen ever. IMO it's still between him and George Reeves.

I loved him as Superman, the guy understands the character and became a fan as well, I'm really excited for MOS 2 and see how his Superman character develops. The movie is flawed, yes, but this franchise has a lot of potential and I'm pretty sure not only Superman will learn from his mistakes, but also WB(hopefully) and Snyder.

Dude risked his life to save the world and suceeded and everyone wants to give this movie crap because he didnt stop the city from being leveled. He is superman not god there was nothing he could do he was kinda busy at the time. ppl make it seem like he was sitting at home drinking a beer and was "like ooh my girlfriend is in trouble i should maybe walk over and see whats going on". I dont know what everone expected expecially after hating on superman returns for its lack of threat and distruction.

The city looked like it was completely destroyed but if you count how many buildings he actually destroyed whilst fighting Zod...not that many, he was trying to prevent the terraforming machine from...well...terraforming, that's why the city looks so leveled, because of that device. People are missing the point here.

What do you mean Superman didn't give a shit? He knew he couldn't be in two places at once one part of the World Engine was like in the Indian sea the other Metropolis he was the only one that could get to the Indian Sea the Fastest if anything he actually showed he gave more shits Bout the whole world and not just Metropolis a true hero saving more than five lives that and he was one Kryptonian against a whole squad of Kryptonians with the same powers as him CHECK YOUR FACTS

@SPECTJOSHFEST.....exactly......people just need to put themselves in his shoes and ask themselves HOW they could have done better. He had the militarys help and thank goodness becuase it was the only cover that he had in order to get where he needed to be in order to stop Zod and his minions. People are so ungrateful...

One of the best CBM ever, next to TDK and TDKR and the Avengers. Can't wait for the sequel! They nearly destroyed the world with this one. What's next? The solar system? Regardless, should be a blast!

He saved only five people???

1) Approximately 10-15 people on a school bus
2) Approximately 10 people on the exploding oil rig
3) The military guy who was falling who he caught in mid air
4) Lois Lane three times from (killer robot, her falling in the capsule and falling from the airplane)
5) The guy who was about get get his behind handed to him by Faora
6) His mother

By my count it is conservatively at LEAST 24 people.

...Make that 27 people... I forgot the family that was going to get killed by Zod

Anyone who loves Superman 4 The Quest For Peace knows, that Christopher Reeves would have done a much better job than Henry, he would have rebuilt the entire city using his eyes, hell, why stop at buildings, he could probably rebuild all the dead people one atom at a time....Christopher Reeves Rules as Superman, ain't no leveling of cities on his watch!!
EdGross
EdGross - 7/12/2013, 8:51 AM
Forthas, for the record, he also saved the entire rest of the planet by being willing to sacrifice himself to stop the machine in the Indian Ocean. Additionally, yes, buildings came down, but at least the one that we saw him and Zod fly in to had already been abandoned.

But, again, the entire planet was spared because of him.

Man of Steel II will show why he is against raping horses. He will do it but be really sorry he did after snapping the horses neck. (Yes, I like the movie but I am bored and trolling).

@Greengo That's cause its a CG background. You should check out the Avengers dvd extras where they show how much of the New York battle was CG. It blew my mind.

I got that. I think I was referring to people he saved directly in a more "hands on" way.
