DC Collectibles Previews Their MAN OF STEEL 1:6 Scale Statue

DC Collectibles will be releasing a new statue to go along with Zack Snyder's new Superman movie Man Of Steel. Today they have released the first image of the statue that features Henry Cavill's likeness.

Man Of Steel will be released later this June, and you know there would be no shortage of toy and other memorabilia to go with it. Hot Toys has announced their intentions to do something for the film, but DC Collectibles has cooked up something as well. Today they have released the first image for their statue that will be released in May, a month before the film's release. Check it out below.



The statue was sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios Statue, and will be priced at $129.99. The dimensions are as follows, 13.25” high, 8.5” wide, and 5.75” deep. For the latest on all thing Man Of Steel make sure to check back here at CBM.

Looks cool!

Not loving the new look much but what can you do, at least its close to the classic look.

Man of Steel's gotta be the top cbm of 2013, we need a decent DC movie and not another Hex, Losers, Rises etc.

Avengers was 2012's easy, time for DC to take the spot, I'm sure by 2015 JLA will beat 'em all :p

The suit's kinda growin' on me. I thought i would hate it, but the logo and cape look really good, plus that silver side is also pretty awesome!!

So the shield IS yellow and red. Why di they hve tht teaser poster with the black if they didnt end up changing it? I liked it a little more with black but it was just confusing

Awesome statue, as a long collector and follower of things such statues, acknowledge that this was sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios ehich has produced many of great statues and busts, you guys should check their work or Star Wars and others :)

This statue has a great amount of detail and lets us all know the color scheme. This is basically how the suit will look like throughout the film.

I like the design of the suit, the yellow and reds look pretty perfect but the blue is a tad dark for me. =(

I would buy this, even though it doesn't look like Cavill (hopefully its just the angle) but $130? That's more than what I'd pay for a statue.

So this is what the costume looked like before Snyder washed out all the colors in an attempt to look gritty and realistic? (I'm trying to keep an open mind for Man Of Steel, but I hate Snyder's slo-mo music video style sooo much.)

@ KaleEl59: What movie is that? Looks like it's either a hilariously bad horror flick, or a just a not-at-all hilarious plain old bad comedy.

looks off but this IS mearly a proto type like when the new 52 jl action figures were unvealed they looked a tad off
But assuming they fix some things i want this maybe for my birthdaaaayy next month
