Many of you will remember a couple weeks ago we posted the story claiming that the relatively unknown actor Adam Harris was in the running for Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's upcoming movie 'Man of Steel'. The report even went so far as to claim that he has met with Snyder and had gone through a couple stages of auditioning already.

Earlier today I received an e-mail containing these images that are supposedly from a recent photoshoot that Adam Harris was apart of for the role. However it remains to be seen whether these are from an official cast shoot, or just something the actor put together himself trying to campaign for the role.

These are definitely new pictures because as many of you will remember when the first story broke that it was nearly impossible to find any pictures of the actor.

I'll leave it up to you guys to decide but regardless, they look pretty darn cool and I figured I'd share them with you guys.

He's probably on some kind of campaign to get cast. I doubt he'll get the part.

The cast has been a mix of unknowns and veterans so far. If there's one casting i would get on my knees and beg for, it would be Michael C. Hall as Lex, but i know it won't happen :(

For some reason I think Zane will be Luthor, and since Viggo left the huntsman movie he will end up being Jor El.

Whoever is cast, they'd better be buff. Lex is the pinacle of human achievement, both intellectually and physically. No more doughy old guys, for christ's sake.

He'd be decent, though I've never seen him act. Bettany, Viggo and Fienes would be great for the role too.

There are plenty of great actors who could play Lex I'm only going with Zane cuz he was mentioned before and he's got that love him or hate him vibe that I love.

No, they wouldn't be stupid enough to cast a no-name actor as Lex. Villains are always bigger names, usually more so than the hero. Gene Hackman was way more famous than Christopher Reeve, Spacey way more well known than Routh, Dafoe > Tobey, Nicholson > Keaton. It's the way it works.

Nolan even said that the thing that appeled to him the most about the original superman was how the supporting cast were all top notch actors and he was going to try and replicate that. Lex will be a big name.

Ok, I take back what I said- THAT IS LEX LUTHOR.

@yossarian- Lex Luthor is essential to the Superman mythos. Zod isn't. But Lex IS. If they can have Zod in the film, certainly there is enough room for Lex Luthor.
