GEEZUZ most of its set there anyways, create a jumping on point for new viewers, the SMALLVILLE fans wont mind, they'll know what it is!

Ugh.

I don't know..I LOVE the show! but I want it to end on a high note..not a strung out boring season 11..I think 10 is enough!..Now it it molds into a spinoff..like JLA or JSA..than AWESOME!!..but SMALLVILLE is AWESOME and I think 10 is the perfect number to end it!

But if it does go into another season..I'll still watch.

but I'm sure it won't..this is the FINAL SEASON!

If Smallville indeed goes pass Season 10 then I bet season 11 will be called Metropolis

I took the time last week to catch up with Smallville (as I stopped watching after the not brilliant JSA special) and I have to say I really enjoyed watching it again! It definitely has it's faults but the show is good fun for the most part.

Personally, I'd love to see Welling play a costumed Superman in a spin-off once Smallville comes to an end! And what a finale to season 9 - it's moments like that which remind me why it used to be my favourite TV show!

Yes to Lex. No to Chloe, lets put her 150k an episode back into the production budget and get more action and DC character guest appearences from it.

Definately need a spinoff of some kind to fill the Smallville void once its gone.

If Smallville were a dog, it'd have already been put down. END IT!

So, if there is no Chloe for the most part, who is going to run Watchtower and handle all the technology aspect of the headquarters? I think Chloe fills a very important and valuable role in the show.

In late March Rosenbaum tweeted the following (this was long after the rumor he may come back for few episodes if he could wear a bald cap): "Sorry," wrote Rosenbaum. "It's not 'Smallville' related. I've already stated that I'm not returning. I'd never lead you guys on like that. I appreciate your support."

I would like to see him return, but it doesn't sound too promising. Anything is possible though.

I can see them going beyond the 10th season if and that's a BIG "IF":
1) the writing is better. I think the writing has gotten somewhat better, but the current scripts need still to go thru 10 more rounds of editing.
2) If they reboot the show with a different feeling. Instead of teeny bopper melodrama, they should write it in a more realistic way. The emotional drama should be toned down and the plot should be more realistic. It should be like the 1st season of Heroes.
3) The casting should have more age variety. There should be more main characters and extras in their 40s+. Currently everyone is in their 20-30s.
4) Stop with the teasing and make Clark fly already!

why did the actor who played lex luther leave? i hope we get to see superman and the red and blue tights and fly before the show ends

few episodes..and the finale..AWESOME! That is the
best cliffhanger of ANY season. and I agree, that
Josh Hartely could NOT hold up, lets say a
GREEN ARROW spin-off, Welling needs to be in there
somehow..That why I really hope for a JLA..but the
problem there is..NO BATMAN..and any other
character they don't get the rights for..like
Wonder Woman, or Red Tornado, or Green Lantern
and so on..But I REALLY want a
JSA or JLA spin-off.

First of all, I love this damn show!

But for a season 11, it can no longer be called Smallville. It has gotta be a League spin-off or simply put on the tights and do a Metropolis show.

I say make the next year Metropolis, by ending Smallville with Clark flying off with the suit at the very end of the show and series. I would also bring in that one guy from Somerholt who can wipe out people's minds. You know the guy who thought he killed his brother, when it was his dad. The Sheriff and Lois saw him lift those two large tower things, anyways...I would have him wipe Lois and maybe Perry White's minds. Start Metropolis 5 or so years later and bring in Jimmy Olsen. Preferably, the same Jimmy Olsen from Season 7, I liked his version of Jimmy.

Bring in Michael Rosenbaum in the last show and set up the new series Metropolis. Drop Chloe, give Clark's friends suits that are closer to their comicbook counterpart. Also, you have to bring in Bruce Wayne and maybe Diana Prince to the new series as well, for ratings of course.

Michael please come back, do you really have anything else going on? No. I would ask for a bigger pay check to come back though. There is no one better than you to play Lex Luthor, yours is the best.

This is what I would do after Smallville ended. One last thing, I really hope we see Clark at his father's grave just one more time in the next season, the last episode maybe. Could be a really emotional scene. So will Chloe's disappearance/death/whatever. I mean the Legion never heard of her in Clark's past. Could be interesting to see what her fate will be.

Mostly likely will end after season 10, but would love to see a Season 11, but Smallville has to go back to Wednesdays cause Friday nights are when people go out and movies come out so we need viewers to watch

Let it end. The first four years were pretty spot on. Now they've broken from their own continuity. I watch it like a car wreck.
And why can't Clark fly? As soon as the Candorians received their powers they up and flew away.
I still think they should have brought in a younger Supergirl...and again I say: Chloe as Oracle is so ridiculous. Lois never wonders what her cousin is doing all day/night? And they suddenly pair her with Oliver after his dirty emails to Black Canary?
Don't get me started on the Wonder Twins...but that was a nice break.
