THE FLASH: More Set Photos Give Us A Much Better Look At The Dark Knight & His New Batcycle

Another batch of photos from the Glasgow set of The Flash have been shared online, and this time we have a much better look at Ben Affleck's (though it's probably not him in the suit) take on Batman.

Earlier today, we got a first glimpse of Ben Affleck's version of Batman (though it was almost certainly a stand-in) on the Glasgow, Scotland set of The Flash, and these latest photos provide a much better look at the iconic DC Comics hero.

As you can see, these snaps allow for a more detailed examination of The Dark Knight's updated suit and his newly-designed Batcycle, both of which appear to have received a few tweaks/upgrades for this movie.

Fans have been wondering whether Affleck's Bruce Wayne would have a significant role to play ever since rumors that Michael Keaton's Batman '89 would take over as the DCEU's main Caped Crusader (that still hasn't been confirmed), and Director Andrés Muschietti recently confirmed that he will be "a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie," especially as it relates to his relationship with Barry Allen (Ezra Miller).

"It's Barry's movie, it's Barry's story," he added. "But their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that's one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That's where the Affleck Batman kicks in."

Christina Hodson wrote the The Flash's script, with Michael Disco and Marianne Jenkins on board as executive producers. Plot details are still under wraps, but the story is expected to be at least partially influenced by the Flashpoint comic book arc.

In addition to Miller, Keaton and Affleck, Kiersey Clemons will reprise the role of Iris West,, and Sasha Calle will make her debut as Supergirl. Zack Snyder's Justice League star Ray Fisher recently indicated that there was still a chance he could appear as Cyborg, but we seriously doubt that happens at this stage

The Flash is scheduled to race into theaters on November 4, 2022.

I'm calling it, This movie will set up another sequel of The Flash movie to be a two parter.

@JokerzHenchman - With all that is being stuffed into the movie, a two parter would be smart, but I doubt it will be a 2 parter, unless they are secretly filming it all at once.

Hopefully its good. Has the potential to be great, also has the potential to be a cluster[frick]

@JokerzHenchman - first one could end with Barry really screwing the timeline

It's like the batpod on steroids. Snyder would approve.

Sparky joking aside, I do prefer this kinda bat tech as apposed to the more grounded approach. Don't get me wrong, grounded 100% has its place and I know imma get comments saying Battinson is early Batman, I'm just merely stating my preference. Even early year I like a more fantasy based Bat like the comics and like this.

@ElricReturns - Battinson is early Batman. Moving on he will most likely gain the tech.

@Matchesz - well he usually has something. Would take goggles over a bat shaped motocycle helmet

DC Fandome can't get any sooner. Flash, Black Adam, Shazam and the goddamn Matt Reeves' Batman.

Looks a lot like the Battinson suit, except the cowl

They both lost their mothers to murder, and that's one of the emotional vessels of the movie.

This is one thing I hate about modern DC. Not every hero needs a tragic backstory or dead parents to mope about. Barry was different and Johns [frick]ed it up for us forever.

@inkniron - gives me "Martha!" flashbacks, and those are not necessarily happy reminders

@AndrewHolland - I'm sure it was a happy day for him when he could join the dead parent circle jerk, using each other's tears for lube.

No ideals to live up to, no vengeance needed; there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a good guy, just because you're a good guy.

Batman summed it up perfectly
"Barry is the kind of man that I would've hoped to become if my parents had not been murdered."

and they turned his origin into equivalent.

@inkniron - But without it we wouldn't have the flashpoint paradox, which I feel it's safe to say that it's the biggest and most memorable The Flash comic.

@AndrewHolland - I guess that depends on your age. I'd say COIE. If you want a Flash exclusive story some might say Rogue War or Flash of Two Earths.

@inkniron - agreed, I actually hate the fact they gave Barry a more tragic backstory in modern comics and that that's trickled down to every adaptation since. The Flash is such a light-hearted character compared to the likes of Batman or even Superman in my opinion (like Superman without the baggage that comes with being an orphaned alien refugee) that giving him the murdered mother/framed father backstory just makes him unnecessarily dark for the sake of being edgy.

Comparing him to the rest of the core Justice League, Barry was the everyman of the group. He wasn't an emotionally tortured orphaned billionaire, he's not an alien refugee or an Amazon warrior, the heir to any throne, or even a pilot who watched his father die in a plane crash; he was essentially just a normal guy who wanted to do the right thing for no other reason than because it's right, who just so happened to have powers granted by his connection to the Speed Force. But of course that wasn't good enough...

@inkniron - yeah DC does do that quite a bit however it doesn’t always shape the hero. Superman came out great (but I am fan of when both of his adopted parents are alive).

'Why did you say Martha?!'

So Affleck's Bruce is suiting up again? Thought it was said he wouldn't.

Also:

"It's Barry's movie, it's Barry's story,"

It doesn't really look like it, but I don't mind it at all that it isn't. Yeah it sucks its not the Flash I'm looking forward to in his own movie, but I don't care for this Flash anyway.
