Considering a majority of the Asgardian crew, from the original praised-Thor movie, have voiced their opinions on the sequel's potential director, Monsters director Patty Jenkins is undeniably tackling the God of Thunder for summer 2013; despite Marvel Studios' reluctance to confirm so. So far, we've heard from Chris Hemworth, Tom Hiddleston, Ray Stevenson, Joshua Dallas & Jenkins herself. So, as the headline reveals, take a scroll down for a new addition.

And now, chatting briefly with folks at Entertainment Weekly, the original director of the 2011 summer blockbuster, Kenneth Branagh, shares his thoughts on Jenkins and her likeliness to take over the franchise.

Monster was, I think, an absolutely sensational film. I think that she’s a great talent. As a possibility in the mix, I think that’s a tremendous idea.

For those who don't know, the sequel will follow the Norse God "literally" to other worlds on an adventure, with the Warriors Three, and recently-confirmed, Lady Sif, among other Asgardians. And also exploring Thor's deepening relationship with the all-father Odin, and love interest Jane Foster, look for the much-anticipated THOR 2 in theaters July 26, 2013.
