After being caught in set photos three weeks ago, as
Thor: Ragnarok filmed in Australia, actor Sam Neill has confirmed that he does indeed have a small part in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe installment. He divulged his involvement to the Shortlist* while doing press for Taika Waititi's
Hunt for the Wilderpeople. "
Oddly enough, I’m not really allowed to say this, and I can’t tell you what it is… I did a couple of days on Thor, just before I came over here. I had to sign all sorts of things that say if I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents -and they are lethal, will come and get me, and probably my children as well."
Do you think Neill will have a significant role or will he be another "Richard" (Chris O'Dowd)? We'll find out next year, when

Thor Odinson is a Marvel Comics superhero created by Stan Lee, Larry Leiber and Jack Kirby. He debuted in 1962 in Journey Into Mystery #83. A little known fact is that a different (and more traditional) version of the mythological figure appeared in Marvel Comics in 1951's Venus #12. The new version was specifically created to be a hero who was stronger than the Hulk according to Lee.
THOR: RAGNAROK DEVELOPMENT: Chris Hemworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins all return to the franchise to reprise their respective roles as Thor, Loki, Heimdall and Odin. Newcomers include Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge. Mark Ruffalo will also appear as the Hulk. Principal photography began on July 4 in Australia. Stephany Folsom penned the script. The film was originally slated to be released on July 28, 2017 before being pushed back to November 3, 2017. Kevin Feige previously stated that 80-90 percent of the film takes place far away from Earth.
