SPOILERS: THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi Teases Alternate Version Of One Of The After-Credits Scenes

Thor: Ragnarok has two after-credits scenes and while the one remains a mystery, we do know that the other is played just for laughs. If you don't want to know what that sequence entails, though, you should stop reading now! Still here? Well, it features Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster dumped on a trash pile on Sakaar after the citizens of the country have revolted and turned on the arena's ruler.

However, when Digital Spy caught up with both the actor the scene revolves around and director Taika Waitit, they learned that what we'll all wind up seeing in
theaters is just one of many versions of that.

"There's a Goldblum easter egg!" the actor revealed. "My character Grandmaster surprisingly reappears at the end to say something. It's one of my improvised moments! I can't remember what I say, I want to see it again! Because we said 20 things on the day." Waititi adds: "We even did the Sakaarian national anthem which we made up on the spot, which will hopefully be on the DVD at some point." It sounds like there will be a lot of improvisation in the movie so those special features should be awesome but it will obviously be quite some time before we hear anything about those.

"That was something we had so much fun doing," the filmmaker continued. "He tried to start a new revolution to topple the old revolution with the people who were ousting him. All sort of different things emerged from that. The great thing about Jeff is he's so receptive to new things. Most of the stuff involving him in the film was stuff we found on the day on set, because he's a genius at improvising and he's willing to try anything." Will you be waiting until the end of Thor: Ragnarok's credits? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on these details in the usual place.

I don't think Ragnarok's credit scenes are anything to complain about. One sets up the future as usual, the other is just a bit of fun - which shouldn't be a problem. And no not in the "everyone hates fun" way or shtick that's been going around lately, just that you don't need both credit scenes to set up future movies.

Homecoming's had the same structure, which was fine. Although the execution of the "fun" one was an unwarranted slap to the face. Feige better not do that again, that was stupid.

They're both good scenes but they don't really contain many surprises. This one is hilarious though.

@RorMachine - I thought the mid credits scene was pretty damn exciting, to say the least! I have a theory that Loki took a certain “something” offscreen near the end ;)

@scapegoatjones - Other than Robin Williams, Craig Ferguson takes the cake. The man is rapid fire.

How much do you wanna bet that Goldblum's post-credit scene is similar to The Collector's sitting in his destroyed museum and Cosmo comes up and licks his face? Since they are both Elders/Celestials...

I love that Goldblum is in the MCU! Plus the actor that cameos early in the film; that's really awesome that he's in it. I hear Goldblum is absolutely hysterical in this film. Would love to see the dynamic between him and Del Toro as stark opposites.

Skipped the article. Why would I want a description of an alternate anything when I haven't seen the one released in the theater? Crazy!
