Transformers grossed over $320 million in America alone, and for the most part, won over the fans. Personally, the movie in its entirety was not well done, but it made up for it by having so many good small bits that I kinda forgot about the overall crapitude.
Michael Bay addressed every concern through production. Script treatments that were leaked, early designs: the fans clamored for his attention and he gave it to them.
Transformers 2 however is shaping up to be a bit different. Here’s what Bay had to say.
"One thing I do know is I know how to screw them up more," said Bay. "We're going to leak a lot of false information all over the place. I now know their game. They're going to get a lot of script treatments that they think are going to be the script. They will never see the script. We've got scripts and treatments written up that we're going to leak. No one's going to know."
And for you scoopers out there, just sitting on that massive spoiler, waiting to let someone know, beware. "There's one out that's fake right now. There are going to be many others."
Of course, with the writers’ strike in full swing now, there were and are concerns that Transformers 2 might take a hit. For more information on what hit the movie is likely to take, click here for our article addressing these and other issues.
